Misfit (or Miss Fit, if you'd prefer), the "backyard" feral who the shelter said was "too wild to be socialized", has been sleeping in the guest bathroom in her guest bed this winter. She also enjoys a rousing game of Bathtub Ping Pong.

orange&white orange&white - That expression is absolutely priceless!

"Who? Me? I'm not in the sink!"

This shot is perfect for:

I Has An Expresshun!

Yes, she's doing great. I wasn't able to even touch her until August. Now 5 months later, I can pick her up and carry her around the house for a "walking tour". She rubs against my legs when I'm in the kitchen. She's just not a "relaxed cat" yet (and may never be) or a snuggler. When I pick her up, she often digs her claws in to the back of my hand/wrist, but she isn't being aggressive, just insecure. She's always in a loaf or otherwise on guard when she's inside. She's come a long way.

you might try her out on some anti anxiety stuff if you haven't already. I think most of this stuff is habit for cats. if you can get her in the habit of being relaxed she might stay that way after you take her off em.

orange&white orange&white - You're doing great; some take a little time, but Love still conquers all. Here's the (tuxedo) proof - White Tip, the wildest of them all:

More Misfit:

...and "The Prize", such as it is....

orange&white orange&white - I've just revisited these photos, and good Heavens but she's a beautiful girl! As far as being, "too wild to socialise," my vet - who never gives up - said he thought it best to put White Tip back outside. A year later I could pick her up, and today she's the sweetest cat I know, acting as the Welcome Committee and go-between for Friday, Clawed-Ya and Mirò. Just keep doin' what you're doin' - you can't fence Time... and you know the rest.

thefiresidecat thefiresidecat - No worries; Love and patience will bring him 'round in his own time. Lord, what a beautiful big boy he is.
.

yup, I know it. drommie didn't pay me the time of day til she was 2 or three and now she's basically my cat. (she started out as shawns) he bit me tonight. :/ I guess he's bit shawn before too. doesn't seem to have broke skin and it doesn't seem to have been in anger. more warning bite or I"m just so overstimulated I don't know how to react so bitey! lol. but for some reason he isn't fond.
