Hi,
My cat is infested with fleas so today, I just treated him with Advantage II for small cats. I know that you can't just use the treatment and expect the fleas to completely go away but I am moving in about a week. So my plan is to get him treated with advantage and then I'm going to wash all my beddings, clothes and his beddings. And then I'm going to spray down his cat tree or anything he uses that fleas can live in with Raid (including the carpet) one day before I move into the new place. My question is do you think we'll be safe from fleas in the new place? Also, I am going to continue treating him with fleas treatment for the next couple months.
Thanks!

You can get a bomb that includes Precor or a siimilar substance (IGR, insect growth regulator) that prevents eggs from hatching and larvae from developing into adults and putr everything but the cat in the new place and then set off the bomb. That should break the life cycle of any flea that survives the trip as well as eggs and larvae. Also, to make sure there are no living adults on your cat, first flea comb him thoroughly and get out any you can. After that, give him one Capstar pill, followed by a bath in dish detergent. Capstar kills 100% of living fleas for 24 hours. The bath removes any eggs and larvae as well as drowning any fleas that the capstar has not yet killed.

I wouldn't spray Raid on his cat tree and other stuff, I think it's poisonous to cats.
It is but I'm going to take my cat out of my apartment for a few hours.

I know, but they lay on the cat tree and clean themselves, I would be worried to use something like that.

Yeah i think raid is a bad idea, there are plenty of natural flea sprays that work wonders!
