Trays for cat food/cat water

A shallow plastic container or other item works just as well :) Whatever you may have lying around or can find at a yard sale / thrift store. FreeCycle group / etc for cheap or free. My cats' water bowl is on a food service tray, the kind you get at fast food places to carry your food to a table.

I have the same system, for both food and water. Somehow they always manage to scatter the dry food all over. It's a lot easier to just pick up the trays and dump them than to sweep the floor two or three times a day.
