Any tips? I believe my cats are gaining weight on their new urinary so moderate calorie food. I think in total they're probably getting a little over two cups between the two of them a day. They get wet food occasionally but the urinary wet food is super expensive.

I need all the tips I can get. I know it's extremely important for cats not to lose weight fast. I have tried those timed feeders but my cats know how to get into the food still. I know that I've got to exercise the more but my one cat is not very interested in running around for very long.

Also, if you want them on timed meals, here's another article:

Transitioning Free-fed Kibble Kitties To Timed Meals

And for the real couch potato cats, some people actually have tried picking up their food dishes and walking around with them before meals, having the cats follow them around the house before setting the food down. Hey, whatever works! You could even set the dish down every now and then and let them hava a bite, then start walking around again. It's like taking them for a walk, only indoors:wink:
