Ya'll. How often do you brush your cat's teeth? A google search suggests 1x daily, which seems like quite a lot. So what do cat people actually do regarding this?

Good luck! I have never had any luck getting Sukis' mouth open! It might be a 2 person job. If only I could get hubby interested in helping!

My vet has always been massively HUGE on teeth brushing. She claims it's as important as diet. That being, I've been brushing Atticus, Thirteen and Bella Roma's teeth daily for years. FYI and for what it's worth, my vet also said that if you're not going to commit to brushing at least every other day, it's probably not worth the effort. Hang it up and just do bi yearly dental cleanings at your vet's office.

CET poultry flavored toothpaste is a hit with most cats. Give this brand / flavor a try. Some cats love the toothpaste so much that they'll beg for it, making tooth brushing a whole lot easier.
