Hi--I am writing for my step daughter. Her cat is about 8 months old (I think). His right cannine tooth is growing down behind the lower layer of teeth. So far it has not dug into the soft skin there. He seems to eat well and is constantly playing. The problem is that the SPCA vet wants to pull this tooth out, now. Is there any urgency to have this done? She feels that since the kitty has had other thigns done to him recently that she doesn't want to put him through this right now if it isn't neccesary. Is it okay to wait?
Thanks.

I would go with what the vet is telling you to there. Impacted teeth can lead to a lot of problems for cats and if he stops eating then you will really have a problem on your hands.
