I washed, dried, and halved five trays of grape tomatoes.
After 14 hours of drying....
After taking the skins of large tomatoes to make stewed tomatoes, I laid the skins out on dehydrator trays. Dried for about 8 hours.
And this is my tomato powder! I ground everything together in the food processor, but it didn't get to a nice powder. So I took what was in the food processor and put it in my coffee grinder. It worked well in the coffee grinder. I have a full pint jar of powder now.
I'll use the powder in soups and stews, in my pizza sauce, on roasts and poultry, and even in some of my yeast breads. It's really good stuff and well worth the time putting it all together (most of that time is in the dehydrator anyway).
