I have a 6 month old kitten who I cannot get to stay off the Range. Tonight I caught him drinking out of a pot (with water in it) that I had put on to boil.

I am concerned that he is going to get hurt, but honestly have no clue how to teach him not to do get up there. He is fearless- and stubborn. When he sets his mind on something he will not let it go.

I have been sticking him in his kennel while cooking but would prefer not to have to do that forever. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!!

Some cats don't like lemon juice/extract, so maybe spray that on the counter(s) next to the stove, maybe a mat of double sided sticky tape that you can remove when you need to, a big piece of aluminum foil held with a little tape, a loud clap and "no", or a noisy boobytrap of a few cans filled loosely with coins in her way, when she knocks them over the noise should be off-putting. There may be other folks here with other ideas, hang in there!
