Thanks @PushPurrCatPaws and @Blakeney Green for the info about sub-q fluids. *hugs you both*

It's been awhile since I've had to do them, so it's greatly appreciated to hear from people who've had more recent experience.

I guess with Buddy having had a pretty rough year, and with the memory of Harvey still fresh in my mind, maybe I'm just being overly cautious about this year's hurricane season. Still, it never hurts to be prepared. ;)

Well that's just not correct. Injecting sub fluids has salts and electrolytes..hmmm not sure where they came up with that. :rolleyes3: The only thing to check is sugar substitutes added to pedialyte-just make sure it's not Diet kind where it's fake chemical pretend sugars as those are toxic to our pets.
I bought the Pedialyte Classic Unflavored. Is that the right kind? It says "no artificial sweeteners, dyes, or flavors."

You can syringe feed it or mix it in wet food.
Do you use the Pedialyte straight out of the bottle when mixing it with food for syringe feedings, or do you dilute it with water first?
