Thank you all, special friends for all your love & support--- we surely do come to love our Cat Site kitties as though they are our own.....it does my heart good to know Timmy is loved by so many others besides myself❤

What breaks my heart is the life he had out there because these are the things that result from it- someone knew he was out there from the time his Mama & little siblings were hauled off- they watched a little frightened kitten from a balcony living in the bushes ,learning to survive all on his own

Parasites ,disease, infections untreated, malnutrition all contribute to this condition, there's no doubt in my mind and then people wonder why I have a problem with " outdoor cats" and such

Doesn't it always start with someone feeding one little kitten or cat outside and before you know it a " feeding colony" is created? I'm not talking about someone's back yard, providing shelter, food, parasite control, vax & Veterinary needs......this is a Condo Community, throwing out " temptation treats" for 6 years into the bushes like throwing bird seed out for the wild birds- one person knew he existed and left him out there......makes me sick,it usually always begins with one person that could have done something to give one kitten a good life

Timmy has been through so much for so long,he doesn't deserve any of it...... I'm just venting,no doubt most of you understand exactly how I feel

I love January- I know you understand .....and thanks for aleays being with us from the very beginning, day one❤
I love Timmy too.

January is very weary when he gets into the carrier and me, like you have to stick my finger into the carrier and stroke him as he keeps looking at me and in his soulful eyes, he is like asking, 'where am I going and I'm scared.'

I have to assure him all the way tho the vet but of course he'll cling on to me tight when he's at the vet.

Awwww-that look on their faces rips you to bits.....

I layed down next to the carrier at home ,the instant I got up and out of sight I was worried hed bust the door off or the entire thing apart, went completely ballistic- covered was even worse..... and he was even worse not seeing the others- after I let them loose watching them seemed a bit better until his freak out episodes- so it was best with my fingers on him - at least I could calm him everytime he'd go nuts clawing ,flipping over and biting the door ..... it was a terrible ordeal for him

So funny he was so good in the car- the last ride to the Vet he was explosive ahd getting worse with each mile- this time not a peep just watching me and the scenery( what he could see, tree tops, big trucks, buildings) his chin resting on my fingers

I wish I could hold Timmy at the Vet but he is so terrified of people he'd fight to flee ...I'd definitely get scratched in the process of him trying to escape ....

It kills me that I explained him to them beforehand and asked if they prefer a cage or a carrier- it's so easy to inject with a squeeze fork in a cage or trap rather than a carrier --if given the option..."oh no,we know how to handle ferals- apparently not"...... no idea why they wouldn't just use a transfer cage except to keep him overnight making much ado about nothing at the owners expense.... that is really how I see it

Yea, I know that ordeal. Even giving January medications is an ordeal.

January will try to squeeze out of the carrier and you can see that he's really trying hard to push through, restless and uneasy as he is. That's why I dread bringing him to the vet. Once the carrier is opened, he'll run and hide in a corner and refuse to move and I have to go carry him and he'll cling onto me for his dear life.

I think a carrier is easier as the openings are not big and you can just open a wee bit as compared to a cage where the door has to be opened wide and you cannot like squeeze it smaller like a carrier so that the vet can get closer.

I hope and pray that Timmy's eyes are not serious and it goes away soon as I don't want him to be stressed out with all the carrier and vet's business.

The other time when January had chronic diarrhea I took him to the vet and he was struggling like crazy and later they took him to the backroom and gave him the the diarrhea meds and I asked them how they did that and they said they enticed him with food. I hope that's the case as I could not see what's going on back there. And they are not January's regular vet as the regular vet is fully booked and I can't wait. I know his regular vet and the vet techs are very gentle to the animal at the clinic.

Sadly,it is serious- no doubt for me his lack of medical attention as a kitten, untreated infections and years of malnutrition lead to this disease from an underlying systemic disease .....that's my opinion

But it is quite serious and looking for options for the best outcome..... I'm just waiting for my Vet to decide the next step,he too does not want to stress Timmy anymore than need me.... I just don't want to lose him or for him to have pain or discomfort,I'm so troubled

Oh, kwk Im just catching up now.
What an ordeal over nothing. I would be livid! I'm hoping your vet can get it sorted of course with the test recommendations. Hoping for something Timmy can tolerate treatment for.

It's so exhausting and hard when we know there's something going on with them and they have to wait.

I took artiemom artiemom advice and wrote a letter to the Opthamologist I was supposed to see instead of trying to phone or leave a msg. My Vet suggested letting him know but also said don't be surprised if the Mgr calls...I'd rather not have to deal with a gate keeper ,the Mgr or waste my time ,they've wasted enough of my time,my time and Timmy's

If anything at all at least I tried to prevent something like that from happening to someone else.Everything does happen for a reason- I Believe we are supposed to be we are & sometimes it's not about us at all.... There was a very distraught man waiting with his sweet cat with advanced glaucoma to have both eyes removed-we had very deep conversation,we both gained something good from meeting one another and would've missed out had I not been there at that moment.....he was Comforted & Encouraged, that gave me Joy

Sometimes obstacles are opportunites- whatever anyone believes,we can look beyond ourselves for the greater purpose .......or try our best to❤

My Vet will be calling me on the 30th because he can then figure out all the prices for the testing required at the Boca Office and I might get some liquid gabapentin from him- maybe try yogurt or something? Tentatively I'll bring him in February 6th where my Vet will be nearest to me.... He's kind of far where he is until then so I think that's likely the plan .. maybe I can possibly apply prednisone transdermal if it's uveitis, eye drops will be impossible

My Vet is such a sweet man, yesterday he said " poor Timmy,he is his own worst enemy "

It's so true,it's very difficult when a cat is not food motivated, reluctant to eat anything without being convinced it's okay and so terrified of anything that is out of the ordinary, what kept him alive all those years surviving on his own now works against him

It's no wonder how he was never poisoned out here- took me over a month to get him to eat from a dish & then try real cat food .... maybe tomorrow I'll pick up some baby food ,cream cheese & Greek yogurt,if I could find something he gets excited for thst would be great.... I'm gonna also see if I could put a little veg oil on my finger to wipe in his ear to see how thst might go( maybe transdermals will be an option)..

Do you have a Costco membership? I picked up a big box of their CatIt likable cat treats (similar to the inaba churu) and both cats really like them. Lelia isn't super food motivated, but she goes crazy for them.

I do not- it's not sold anywhere else? I'll try anything- bought some Greek yogurt today that I'll try in a bit

They are sold at pet stores! Some grocery stores have them and also Walmart. You can also order directly from Catit website.

Magnus likes them but not as much as Churu.

True Kwik but we still want them to have treatments the best that can be done for them despite their belief they don't need anyone's help❤ Izzy is never going to win patient of the month either. I hope your vet finds a good solution for Timmy.
