Slowly I've been removing the welded wire panels that made a caged in area outside of Timmy's enclosure-first the door, then the wooden top,no more blanket covering half one side and now another panel..... he's doing very well without his little caged in area .....When he wants his own space he goes up to his cubby but more than 75% of the time he's around me in the open living room

Just a little update -soon there'll be just the enclosure and honestly I look forward to a time when he no longer needs it there and finds other cubby throughout the house-maybe one day I can have big chair & love seat again-.it's not "people" friendly at all, lol.

He's halfway to the kitchen since I covered that mirrored wall and I'm hoping to see him jump up on my bed,he's been really stretching to see Sami & Max sleeping there and now realizes he can go in there for dry food and water as well....it's a brave new world!

Very good progress and I think in no time, he’ll be up on your bed.

I hope so,I wish I could get up from the floor because then I'd lie on the floor and no doubt we'd already be cuddling and surely he'd hop up on the bed and couch--- Timmy is very polite,I'd love to make the first move but until my knee replacements - not gonna happen or I'll be the lady on TV" help I've fallen & can't get up"!!!!! Lol

To encourage him to get up the bed, place a step for him so that at least for the first try, he can get on the step and take a look on what's up there before making a blind jump.

He stands up on his hind legs to see now- he just might hop up when Sami and Max are not up there as he did with my dresser,he sees Max take that route to the window but waits till no one is up there to try it,he's very unintrusive and behaves cautiously in " their" territory as an uninvited guest.... he's much more confident to approach the others in the half of the living room which he's established as " his " area....he's very hesitant to explore into the unfamiliar territory

Bella is quite the hindrance, she's extremely territorial and does her best to prevent him from moving about by making her presence known- there's alot of activity,I've gotta hand it to Timmy,he's got alot of different personalities to engage with and for a boy who lead a solitary life he's pretty incredible

Yes,he is amazingly well mannered,a very special sweet boy and I'm pretty crazy about him..... strange thing is he reminds me of my Cheech ,just something about him TT.... different color,I bottle fed my little Cheech and he was a real lap cat but something about Timmy-Cheech passed 7yrs ago,Timmy is 7,makes me wonder about some stuff

Lol-no ,my friend,not yet....

Timmy is very well, yesterday I treated myself to a pedicure and chose a hot pink polish... who would've thought that Timmy would take notice? This morning he come trotting over to greet me( he's always first when I wake up) ,rubbed across my legs as usual and always lays across my feet to get petted- well,he looked down and thought " what's this?" And I felt his teeth grab my big toenail-rofl

I didn't move ( very experienced in getting bitten, lol) but exclaimed " ouch"- he looked up as if to say " oh,sorry- had no idea it was attached" and proceeded to lie back down

Just a 4 month update:
Timmy is doing great,he's learning his name plus they all respond to " babies "!and Timmy knows that includes him..... he and Max play alot, they get rough so it's easy to think they are fighting put never flattened ears & neither make a sound, they just tumble alot, wrestle, bite( not hard) and smack without claws-so those 2 are the playmate

I still believe he adores Sami the most and Sami has finally stopped hissing at him and is starting to oblige Timmy with a few liicks on the head when Timmy head butts him ... Graycie, well she's just the sweet watcher but she does enjoy eating with Timmy -she eats best in his company

Bella is the problem child and has been giving me grief from the start -she was the first to go into his enclosure, eat from his dishes and use his litterbox so I thought it could go 2ways -it was good for Timmy to learn about sharing territory( his) but she is not happy to let him share the rest of the house

Not even 7lbs,he could easily do quite alot of damage to Bella but the little queen be is persistent in terrorizing Timmy-" Get in your cubby" as she will chase him into his enclosure any chance she gets when my back is turned....everyone else is not phased by Timmy's exploring and even seem welcoming .No doubt Timmy would be further in familiarizing himself with the front part of the house if it were not for Bella

He knows it's safe by me,if I leave the room I hear him hopping onto his shelves to the enclosure cubby & I know the little sneak chased him-when I come back & call Timmy he comes down and lays by me .... she does know I'm not pleased with her behavior but those territorial instincts kick in and I have to make her aware that I'm present when she begins to stare at him

Bella does not do well by herself,if I were to separate her I have to put Sami,Max or both in with her or she is very upset-she gets separation anxiety .... she's a tough one because she's very territorial, especially with me.... I hold her ahd pet her while I'm petting Timmy or try to keep her occupied-shes always required alot of attention, paws my lips, head butts my lips for kisses and even plants her little cat lips on mine until I make a kissing sound MUAH

Anyway, that's the situation-I do wish he was not intimidated by her,he was not at first-he used to ignore her but since he's out in HER territory things are different- I wish he'd just stand his ground because surely she'd head for the hills-its what the others do if she redirects her bossyness on to them!

I think Timmy knows where is the limit and boundary and also knows to stay clear of Bella as he was studying the situation before leaving the cubby. Good that he has Max, Sami and Graycie and you as company and maybe later Bella will accept Timmy.

I really hope so because it's stressful( for me).... you know I'm having great difficulty with mobility so I can't be there in a flash, frustrating when I hear a little ruckus and I'm stuck

Hopefully after my visit with oncologist next week I'll get clearance to proceed with knee replacement surgery.....I can't wait for "people" anymore to arrange for help with the cats so I can have surgery-me & the kitties will get through it and they'll survive a day or 2 with me not home- they've got lots of food n water to hold them over
