Yay! Faith Hill used to be really country when she first started out, but now she is more pop. Here's one of her first videos before she lost her southern accent:

But I Will by Faith Hill
Hmmm... maybe not a country fan yet, as I prefer her pop sound. ;)

Will you post the real version? I don't know if I've ever heard it.

Michelle - The Beatles (original, I think, 1965)

For me it's all about the song & lyrics. Country music is about life struggles.
It makes me "feel" something...Do you remember this one?

Baby when you're gone,
I realize I'm in love.
The days go on and on,
and the nights just seem so long.

Ok, so this is embarrassing. :paperbag: And a lesson to listen to at least a part of every song I post. Why? Because "Michelle" by "The Beatles" that I posted on page 40 is not The Beatles. :eek2: It's a "not exactly good" cover. :hmmm:
I did wonder about that choice of cover... You're going to overtake me soon. I'm only on page 46 - it was a busy weekend.

Okay, I peeked at one of your links and can't believe I forgot:

Ice Ice Baby - Vanilla Ice

And

...Baby One More Time - Britney Spears

Those should have been easy ones for me, so my brain must have really been lost.

Also, sorry for posting this, but given my job I probably also should have thought of Baby Shark

Yes! Great song! I think in concert, Bryan brings a girl up on stage to fill the Mel C role.

It was hot and humid all weekend, so I listened to a lot of songs. But I also skipped some, so still kinda cheating. :paperbag:

Gee. Preoccupied with something else? Like a wedding?

Listened/watched the first 2 ones. Only managed a little over 60 seconds on Baby Shark though. :fish:

Lol, and birthday weekend. I'm pretty sure every time I get one thing done for the wedding two more pop up like lopping off a hydra head.

I wish I could cut it off after 60 seconds. As well as a few others they insist on listening to *every* *day* (in fact, I used birthday veto on two songs that I've had more than enough of, but unfortunately will probably have to play for them tomorrow).

Tuesday afternoon
I'm just beginning to see
Now I'm on my way
It doesn't matter to me
Chasing the clouds away
Something calls to me
The trees are drawing me near
I've got to find out why
Those gentle voices I hear
Explain it all with a sigh
I'm looking at myself, reflections of my mind
It's just the kind of day to leave myself behind
So gently swaying through the fairy-land of love
If you'll just come with me you'll see the beauty of
Tuesday afternoon

This is the fast version of Stolen, one of my favorite songs, I like the slow version better but this is good as well.

We watched the season pull up its own stage
And catch the last weekend of the last week
Before the gold and the glimmer have been replaced,
Another sun soaked season fades away
You have stolen my heart
Invitation only grant farewells
Crash the best one, of the best ones
Clear liquor and cloudy eyed, too early to say goodnight
You have stolen my heart
And from the ballroom floor we are a celebration
One good stretch before our hibernation
Our dreams assured and we are, we'll sleep well
You have stolen
You have stolen my heart
I watch you spin around in the highest heels
You are the best one, of the best ones
We all look like we feel
You have stolen my
You have stolen my heart

I was cutting the rug
Down at place called The Jug
With a girl named Linda Lou
When in walked a man
With a gun in his hand
And he was looking for you know who
He said, "Hey there, fellow
With the hair colored yellow
Whatcha tryin' to prove?
'Cause that's my woman there
And I'm a man who cares
And this might be all for you
I said, excuse me
I was scared and fearing for my life
I was shaking like a leaf on a tree
'Cause he was lean, mean
Big and bad, Lord
Pointin' that gun on me
"Oh, wait a minute, mister
I didn't even kiss her
Don't want no trouble with you
And I know you don't owe me
But I wish you'd let me
Ask one favor from you"
"Oh, won't you
Gimme three steps, gimme three steps, mister
Gimme three steps toward the door?
Gimme three steps, gimme three steps, mister
And you'll never see me no more"
For, sure
Well the crowd cleared away
And I began to pray
And the water fell on the floor
And I'm telling you, son
Well, it ain't no fun
Staring straight down a forty-four
Well, he turned and screamed at Linda Lou
And that's the break I was looking for
Well, you could hear me screaming a mile away
I was headed out toward the door
"Oh, won't you
Gimme three steps, gimme three steps, mister
Gimme three steps toward the door?
Gimme three steps, gimme three steps, mister
And you'll never see me no more"
Show me the back door

Those lyrics are so sad....made me tear up.
That's what happens when he's "the best one of the best ones", but you can't make it work. :(

Bittersweet memories
That is all I'm taking with me
So goodbye, please don't cry
We both know I'm not what you need

I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston
