Chocolate--preferably quality chocolate. Candy hearts taste kind of like what I imagine chalk would taste like.

Chocolate. High quality dark chocolate. Those conversation hearts are awful. Just Necco Wafers in disguise.

Chocolate, of course. When I was growing up, the candy hearts had out-of-date slang on them, like "23 Skidoo!" I never knew what those messages meant. Finally looked up skidoo in the dictionary. It means something like "Let's get out of here" but why the 23? I don't think the messages had been changed from the 1920s.

I had to look it up. 23 and skidoo both mean the same thing apparently: It is a combination of two separate slang words which, were “23” and “skidoo”. To use both would refer to getting kicked out (of somewhere) or having to leave.

Depends. I like both, but the problem with assorted valentines chocolate is there are always some with gross fillings.
