Yes glimargl, that was a clever proposition. I like the "water" clue relation to "the flow of a liquid" better than to the Watergate scandal, though. :)

That was just luck! You weren't to know that I studied Maths at uni many years ago. I've forgotten most of what I learnt there, but the general terms are still in my head. So I ignored the clue "maths", knew nothing much about printing and concentrated on "nail". The metal sort, led me nowhere and school biology didn't teach me much about nails and claws, so I looked up a zoological drawing of a nail - there was the "nail matrix"! "Maths" and "Nail" okay, just had to check up that there was an expression "printing matrix" and "Bob's your uncle!" (Another expression, I must have learned in the UK and can't forget).

Unfortunately, I'm not so quick at setting a new problem. German words keep getting in the way. I'll think about it while cooking lunch, Sorry for the delay!
