Lola is a sweet cat but there are a few things she does that just make me crazy.

She is a nudger and bumper when she wants attention. Head bumping my IPad, my soft drink can etc. Move them out of her way and she just follows them. I end up holding my soft drink can in the air so it doesn’t end up covered in cat butt or cat hair.

She totally loves the smell of my hand soap, and feels compelled to sniff, rub and drool on my freshly washed hands until I need to get up and wash them again.

Anyone else have a cat with annoying habits?

Tigger's obsessed with the smell of bath water, when I've just had a bath she insists on trying to use her own fur as a towel - literally I'll get out of the bath and then before I've even starting to dry myself Tiger's insisting I need her to dry me, she does not grasp the concept of what the towel does, she thinks I need drying by her fur :lol2:

I bought DH a huge plastic Coke bottle bank. It sits beside the dresser, which is an out of the way spot. Elsie ran into it and knocked it over. I thought it was just an accident. But every time we set back up, she would knock it back down. She was doing it on purpose! She thinks things like that are funny. Now my girl rules the house and never gets in trouble for anything, but we had to put the Coke bank in the closet. I guess it will stay there until we get enough change in the bottom (if we are ever able to save that much) to keep it upright.

For me the most annoying thing my monsters do is scratching at window screens. We can’t have our windows open more than a few inches or one of the little monsters is digging its claws into the screen and tugging. Besides the damage it does the noise it makes drives me insane.

Patches uses the stairs carpet as a scratching post but he does it when he wants attention. Why he just doesn't come for a cuddle beats me. Bandit pulls my hair out to wake me up drives me crazy. And Lucky well he bites out of the blue he can be purring one second then next he's all out attack mode. Still haven't worked out just what sets him off.

The only one I can think of was our tiny tortie Muggles, who used to fang us out of the blue, for no reason. But even then, I thought: “Well, this is just something I have to train myself to avoid.” SHE was never gonna change. And, frankly, they weren’t painful. You got so if you didn’t get your ‘daily fang’ you wondered what was wrong. Sort of like Bucky, in Get Fuzzy.

I have a hard time with bitey cats. I thought Lola would be one but thankfully she isn’t.

Daisy's a bunter as well, she's always shoving at me and the other day managed to spill my coffee by shoving my arm. Mostly she gets in my face when I'm trying to read, or plants herself on me and makes biscuits on my neck (ow!). But she's so affectionate it's worth it.

Mocha is our self-appointed alarm clock, ensuring that we don’t sleep much past 5 a.m. She sits in the bedroom doorway and squeaks every 10 seconds or so until we give in and get up. I don’t feed her until after 6 so I’m not sure why she’s doing it. She’s a very loving kitty so maybe it’s time for cuddles. She does follow me to the sofa after I grab my coffee and snuggles on my lap.

I'm hoping he grows out of it as he gets older. He's had a rough start was handed into the vet's at about 4 months with a broken elbow. He's really jumpy around feet so suspect he was mistreated. I do think alot of it is fear with him. So hopefully he'll stop it as he grows. Don't know maybe he's just a jackass but I love him

Of my two boys, Jackpot is the Biggest culprit. He loves to chew on everything That is soft plastic. I often tell people that I have a puppy that meows. I must keep all plastic well out of reach of him. I've even found him gnawing on my Rubber sandals. Too often I have found Hairballs containing Plastic pieces.

Year ago I had a big, part Siamese, named Genevieve, that we got as a kitten. She was such a crabby, bitey cat and would reach out and whack or bite you if you were in her perceived personal space. We never used her real name because her nickname, B.A., short for “Bad Attitude”, was more fitting.

She had never been traumatized in any way, but when they have, such as yours, I do think it is a trust or fear issue. He will most likely outgrow it.

Fingers crossed. He can be so affectionate but it's hard to relax with him because you never know when it's coming. My hubby has been saying ouch and telling him to kiss it better and he will lick were he's just bitten like he's sorry. Sometimes it seems he's surprised that no one's yelling or shouting when my hubby does this and settles down. Maybe he's getting over excited because it seems like he really wants to be affectionate he comes up on my knees and literally learn against me purring then just as he seems about to settle down. It's boom have a bite human. But not every time I'd say it's one in six or seven. I'll work it out what set's him off probably when I'm least expecting it.

Cosette hasn't worked out the logic of standing between me and her food. She wants me in the kitchen to prepare her meal, but she's parked at the end of the hall to supervise me. When I move toward the kitchen she's offended that I'm in her space. We have this conversation twice a day. 😂

He'd be about 8 months now. We got him at 4 months and he spent the first 6 weeks on cage rest. Love's the older two cat's and is well behaved in every other way. He respects boundaries with the two older boy's. It's just people he has this habit with.

Just a kitten still . When my kittens started being bratty and biting or grabbing ankles I would pick them up and take them for a walk around the house for a few minutes. Negative consequences for biting because they wanted to be down playing. It let them know I was bigger and the boss. I would always sneak a few kisses in because knew they wouldn’t be kittens much longer.
