Been having an irregular heartbeat for over a week now... went to the ER and turns out something isn't right with my thyroid. I've got 2 appointments next week and some more test to do. :sigh:
Once they get your thyroid straightened out and your meds balanced, you'll feel like a kitten again! I sure did.

Made a mental note yesterday morning that there was only one pile of #2 in the litter boxes when there normally is at least two. Got home from work 12 hours later and there wasn't any. Worried but not "call the vet" worried just yet.

This morning, woke up to find the dam must have broken for whoever was behind on emptying their bowels. :cheerleader:

My husband was also recently diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat. He has an extra beat happening. Has to do a stress test next week but isn't too worried about it.

The thyroid gland can wreck havoc on your body. It regulates metabolism, which effects everything.

It is such a common medical condition... Please follow up on all tests and have a specialist on hand.. an endocrinologist is the best.

Finally done (almost) with my refinished dresser! You will notice in my before and after pics below that one drawer seems lighter than the others. Don’t know if it’s the wood or the stain but when I have time to do it I will pull it out and see if I can darken it to match better.

My mom and step-dad witnessed a fatal motorcycle crash yesterday evening and were pretty shaken up and in shock when mom told me a few hours later. The guy on the bike wasn't wearing a helmet and he basically ran a red light after going around cars on the left shoulder on a busy highway. All they could do was pray for him and sit with him until the first responders arrived. I just found a news article saying he passed at the hospital. 😔

My step-dad is about the same age as the guy and he and mom still love to go for rides. But they wear good helmets and protective clothing. (And obey traffic laws!) I have some friends who lost their dad to a motorcycle accident; while not wearing a helmet, about 15 years ago. But we also lost my nephew to an accident with a distracted driver (no motorcycle involved). So I bet witnessing the accident brought up a lot of memories for them. 😔

I always hear that most accidents with motorcycles aren't their own fault. But then I see so many on the road weaving between cars and things and I cringe. I don't know if anyone here rides; but please be careful. Wear a good helmet. Wear the right clothing and shoes. Even if most aren't the motorcyclist's fault; they are still the one most likely to pay the price. 😢

Michele lost her youngest brother that way. It was out in the country, and 2 guys had stopped to talk. One pulled his pickup onto the shoulder while the other pulled up alongside him, blocking the northbound lane. A third pickup, heading north, pulled into the southbound lane to go around them and hit Ethan head-on. The coroner said that he died instantly from a broken neck. The only thing that his full-face helmet did was make it possible to have an open casket.

I think Gracie is going through a growth spurt. She ate Boone's dinner and part of her own. Then when Boone tried to eat what was left of her food, she moved him out and ate the rest. So, I gave Boone more food and luckily, Gracie had hit her limit and let him eat that.

My cell phone case fell apart in my hand yesterday. Its like the rubber part got stretched out. :dunno: It won't go back together for anything either. It was a cute Otterbox Disney Princess Belle case that I loved! But I couldn't find it on Amazon so I ordered something different. It feels really weird holding my phone without the case on it. I might have looked elsewhere but Prime shipping should have my new case to me quicker than anyone else.

Be careful! Every time I end up with a caseless phone, it ends up dropping or falling. When my current phone was brand new and I was waiting for its case to arrive, it fell off the sand rable at school and the screen broke pretty badly and I had to replace it.

I'm also the person that has to be extra careful with eggs and still managed to drop the carton while trying to put it on the belt the last time I bought them at the grocery store, so :dunno:

Haha, I was going to say the same! I'm terrified to hold an un-cased smartphone. I modified (read: cut up) a case from my old phone to use when I got this one, until my real case came in the mail. Even a little shock absorbency is better than none. I see some people using their phones without cases and I wonder how they do it. Mine would be shattered within 3 days, tops.

Does Otterbox have a guarantee? For those prices I would think so, might be worth looking into.

ETA: Yes, cases are guaranteed for 7 years! maybe see if you can contact them:
OtterBox Global Product Warranty
