It's been taking me about an hour to water my newly seeded lawn by hand. Each time. I'm supposed to do this 2 times a day for 3 weeks. Eeks. Once it's sprouting well I think I can use the sprinkler. But having to go move it around every few minutes sounds like a lot of work too. But people driving by keep waving to me. Supposedly people around here aren't friendly so I don't know what to make of it. :lol2: Either way I'm gonna pray for rain!

Aedan is ignoring everything I say today. I'm about to either rip my hair out or ship him off to Abu Dhabi.

John: Aedan, do you want a car when you're 16?
Aedan: Yes.
John: Then you need to start listening to mommy. Because if we have to commit mommy, the money that we would have used for your car will go to her mental hospital stay.

Unable to eat, drink, move or sleep. The Tylenol stopped working on my pain, heating pads aren’t working and my stomach is in shreds because of the meds. And above comments about Mom at home. Who’s going to care for the cats? No one here will do it. 😢😢

Google the places like Department of Aging or whatever it's called in your area, services for seniors. A volunteer will stay with your mom while you go to Urgent Care or a doctor. I took care of my aunt who had Alzheimer's and Department of Ageing sent someone who worked with medicare.

My back and hip were hurting so bad one time that I thought I had a slipped disc. Got xrayed at the ER and found out it was arthritis. I could hardly walk across the room to unlock the door for the paramedics, it was so painful.

First I can’t leave Mom alone even for 20 minutes because of her balance issues. If I did I would be arrested for elder abuse. So when I called for someone to come watch my Mom she lied and said everything was fine and told them if they did not leave she would call the police. She never opens the door unless she knows the person.

You don’t understand the situation fully. I live in basement. By time I get upstairs she would have sent them away. She throws fits if I stay up there with her. And she had me escorted out by police a few times by same thing.

So, I had an interesting week. Last Thursday around noon, I got a phone call from my youngest saying my oldest stabbed himself in the leg and was bleeding out. They called for an ambulance. I was over an hour away from home at work so needless to say, I didn't take the news well. Youngest called my husband who works closer to home to let him know as well. With Covid, neither of us could go into the hospital so we had to wait in our cars outside. I only got bits and pieces of the story from my youngest on what happened. Once oldest was released and we were home, I got the whole story.

Oldest said he normally has the knife in his tackle box in his car because he uses it when fishing. Since he was getting his brakes done, he took it out of his car and put it in his room.

He was going to go fishing later on so he decided to clean it. Got done cleaning it and tossed it onto his bed instead of putting it back into the sheath. First mistake.

He did some schoolwork on his computer at his desk and was going to read a chapter on his bed. He forgot the knife was on it. As he described, he "plopped" down on his bed and that is when he got stabbed. Second mistake.

He stood up and immediately felt the blood and his pants were soaked. He yelled for youngest and ran into the bathroom. He grabbed some toilet paper and a washcloth and put pressure on it. Told youngest to get the roll of paper towels from the kitchen.

As things were getting soaked, oldest started to panic and told youngest to get his phone so he could call 911. They ended up just throwing the used toilet paper and paper towels in the toilet. Third mistake. Luckily they never tried to flush it.

Ambulance came quick and bandaged him up. He walked to the ambulance somehow but they did make him change his pants and underwear as they were soaked with blood and he needed to wear shorts so they could access the wound.

Oldest stayed home from work on Friday but went to work on Saturday and Sunday. I was against it. Now his leg is completely bruised from his rear to his ankle. He is in more pain than he was a couple days after the injury. He is back to using old crutches that we had on hand. I don't think it's an infection but his body trying to "fight" against the injury and heal it.

The knife went in about 3 1/2 inches.

Oh geez. Why didn’t I think of the binaural beats. I could have saved a day of agony. They have always worked for me. Put them on an hour ago out desperation and the pain is gone.

Well. 2days would have not been wasted as I’ll have to sleep today. I did feel pain shoot through me as I was getting food for the cats but it isn't like it was. I feel so bad not being out there with them. They probably think I neglected them the past 2 days. Very tragic situation. :(
