Felix is currently under to have his bad teeth pulled. The x-ray showed that his other teeth are perfectly healthy so the vet is afraid to pull them because she doesn't want to break his jaw or leave fragments behind. I'm not going to make the same mistake twice. I love this vet and she always does an amazing job with my cats but I'm going to contact a specialist.
Good luck! I was so worried about Sparkle when she had her extractions, but she's doing well now and her horrible breath is gone. If a specialist is needed, go for it.

So what am I supposed to do? Keel over from exhaustion before someone steps in? No my relatives are just stupid. They know how she is yet they refuse to step in, and most of my so called friends knew me for 60 years and have met her and know how she is. I guess it's my fate and karma to be mentally and emotionally abused
Relatives/friends will never step in. They care, but not enough to really help, it's too expensive to save somebody else I guess. You're better off getting a social worker like I have, someone who is paid to help you.

He barely has any teeth left so I'm going to see about getting all the rest removed at once by the specialist.

He's so out of it. Pupils very dilated. He's walking around like he's lost and bumping into things. Staring at the wall. Falling over. I tried to keep him still but he won't relax. He's never reacted like this the last 2 times.

These are the only remaining teeth.

How many of those are bad?

My vet in my old town, not the one I took Sparkle to, had in her bio that she has a toothless cat who was very happy and even still could eat dry food and treats, so Felix should be fine if you do remove them all.

I hope he recovers from the meds soon.

They said all these ones are good for now. But knowing how quickly this disease has progressed for him, I can expect them to go south within 6 months to 1.5 years. But I will have them out before they get too terrible.

It's okay, I know. Fayola has no teeth so Felix having none, there will be two gummy jellybeans under my roof. Harvey's teeth are super clean and health but he's only 4.

Somehing struck me that maybe it isn't me per se that is scaring Sopdet but that the past couple of days there's been this tension of moving the shelter and tents (one time she was still in the shelter). So I'm going to move the shelter to a permanent temporary spot (does that make sense) and just keep the food in this area. I already have a cam set up in the area that the shelter will be. Tourmaline doesn't care if I fold up her tent and put away or even move it to the side where Mom can't see. So acting upon that, when I went outside I called to Treasure that I had food. Sopdet darted out of the shelter and I called to her and said you want some? I had some wet food that I gave Tourmaline who was already eating. Sopdet likes to lick the spoon so she came back and started licking the spoon. How do you get a cat that was abused as a kitten to fully trust you?

A lot of what you are writing about belongs in Strays and Ferals, Cat Health or Cat Behaviour MoonstoneWolf MoonstoneWolf .
We also, as BellaGooch pointed out, have many articles that may help.

But this is a thread where members just chat about day to day things that don't require help with your cats.

Can barely move because of my Mother and what she's putting me through. 15 degrees with 1 degree windchill and I have to be outside again because her majesty demands it. Maybe I can sneak a call to alz while out there and see what other options I have. She's so far gone she doesn't understand that if I keel over and die who will take care of her? Yet she puts on this huge charade in front of other people. I can't do this anymore with her. :(

Slipped on the icy driveway. Think she cares? NO. As long as I can crawl on all 4s all she wants is to have things done her way. And for the record, I've known for 65 years that my relatives are stupid I just thought that they'd help in a case like this. Wrong.

Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 Hooray about the new hearing aides!:yess:
This will be such an improvement. Good news...

I think I am getting used to the cold weather... It is currently 21 degrees. I thought it was really nice outside.. no wind. Guess cleaning the snow has made me a bit heartier???? Who the heck knows...

I don't mind the cold, except for my hands. My fingers have been frostbitten so many times that even with gloves and those chemical warmers, they still hurt after only a short time outside when it's really cold- like in the teens and lower.

I know that one. And I have to move stuff so Mom don't see. Once before she comes downstairs and once after she goes back upstairs. although on the bright side, I lost 5 lbs since doing this.

BTW: Does Gorilla Glue work on brick. And please no comments about the woman who used GG for hairspray lol

Geeze, GG refuses to answer me on the concrete issue. Why is it every day of my 65 years of life on this planet I have to beg and plead for help. I'm not asking my neighbors. I'm asking a company that makes these products. I'm so sick of it all. :(

Well, it has been only a couple of hours, the call center employees who handle emails might not be there yet.

Anyway it looks like Gorilla Glue does work on brick: does gorilla glue work on brick - Google Search
Thanks. I actually asked them this question 2 weeks ago. My internet was down though at the time so everything I did was through my cell coverage.

Just be aware of the temperature requirements of some glues. Some won't harden/stick when the temperature is too high or too low.

Ok yea I guess 18 degrees is too cold for it to stick. Wonder what I can use for a canopy back there.
