MoonstoneWolf MoonstoneWolf - she needs to chill out . this weather is not nice and you need your rest too
Isn't that the truth. Yet she'd throw a fit if I didn't go out and get her cheeseburgers. And yes rest is good but she fails to realize that sometimes movement, even if slow is better then just sitting around and letting it get stiff. Since I can't take meds I'm drinking some German lager I got at Aldi to dull the pain. haha

Kim just filed for divorce from Kayne.

Well, it's official. Iris is a CKD kitty. :( I took her in yesterday to have blood drawn, and the vet called me this morning. We pretty much knew it already; the blood work just confirmed it. I'm waiting for them to email the test results so I can study the numbers. The good news is that her appetite is excellent (she is still yodeling for food), and she's a healthy weight. Her phosphorus is on the low end of normal. Her creatinine is high, of course. And she's peeing every three hours or so and drinking a lot. But she seems comfortable for now although she wants a bit more cuddling than usual. I hate this, though. So hard.

I'm sorry Tobermory Tobermory . It's hard when they get older and get illnesses. How old is Iris? Mooch slipped and fell trying to scurry through the kitchen this morning. I think I was more upset about it than she was. Sometimes her back legs slide out from under her. She's lost muscle with the arthritis in her spine according to our vet. But she's happy, loves to snuggle whenver a lap is available and any crinkle sound means we give her treats now. :lol2:

Kim Khardasian and Kayne West. I really don’t drink at all but Mom wanted the lager or beer from Aldi. Not touching the subject of pot.

She and her sister, Lily, are 16; they’ll be 17 in May. Iris also has Mooch’s problem with arthritis in her spine, and I can tell it’s painful. It’s not that I haven’t gone through this before. I’ve had cats for 47 years. But it seems to get harder the older I get. The main thing is to keep her as comfortable as possible for as long as possible. I have a caring vet and that helps!

I say the same thing; just keep them happy and comfortable. We have great vets too and that makes such a difference. :hugs:
We're making potty training progress. John isn't happy that I'm leaving Aedan pantsless all day, but he's peed consistently in the potty all day long. He still hasn't pooped, though.
Whatever works!! DS messed his pants every day for a month before he got it. But then he got it quick! It was a pain washing so many undies of course; but it worked so it was worth it in the end.

On top of all the issues with my friend... I discovered my Regular Vet is leaving!!! OMG
When it rains it really pours...
It took all week for her to get back to me...She suggested another Vet in the practice..
I asked if this Vet could handle Geoffrey's FORL..
She said this Vet does not do surgery!! OMG.......

What good is a Vet, who does not do surgery?????
I do not want to go to a different Vet, whom I do not know.. for dentals...
This is too much..

I think they are getting away from surgeries and add ons.. They have been referring to outside Vets, at local hospitals for emergencies, etc....

My regular Vet said that there were many many reasons for her to leave.. Pregnancy and Covid was one of them, but there were many. I made the comment that I wonder if it is the practice, because this is the 3 Vet from there, which I have lost, since 2012....She said it was definitely not the practice... They sold out to a major Vet company, so I wonder if that is one of the reasons.. but that was 2 years ago. My Vet became the Medical Director, when the owner retired, and the practice was sold.... dam.. I did not notice a change in attitude.

I am so apprehensive about this...

I know I have the Specialist, Dr B, for serious for questionable things; however, it is hard to gt into where the hospital is located.. The dentist is booked at least 6 months in advance...

Maybe I could make an appointment with the Dentist now, and wait the 6 months out for an evaluation.. But, who would refer Geoffrey? Maybe the specialist will..

I would love to ask the specialist, if I could use him as a regular Vet.. but, because location is an issue.. on the other side of Boston,... I am so confused... not good for simple things.. but the best around, in care...

Dam... 2021 is not starting out to be a good year for me.... Not Covid wise, but emotionally, with other things....

Poor Murphy. John has to be at work at 5am so he leaves by 4:45 at the absolute latest. A little after 8, Aedan woke up so I woke up and I hear this pitiful meowing. I go to investigate and Murphy was trapped in the bathroom. He never lets any of us use the bathroom alone and John didn't realize he was still in there.

Well it's 35 degrees where I'm at. Mom is through in the basement so I can go and move the cat stuff back. I suppose it's good exercise for me but darn it the ice won't melt in some parts even with a pet safe ice melt and sun. Why do these things always happen to just me? :(

Most certainly these things don’t just happen to you. Everyone has their adversities and challenges.

It probably annoyed him more than traumatized him. I will bet he is right back in that bathroom with you both
