Back with an update: Tourmaline is 100% ok. His blood work is wonderful. He no longer has parasites and can socialize now with Sanya's other cats. No more meds and in 2 months if he continues to stay well he'll be a neutered cat. BTW: I think I need to change my Title. Not only do I referee the cat food bowl but I now sit outside oblivious to a visiting raccoon inches behind me. lol

No ablation. Unfortunately, there are still clots. The good news is that the smaller clots are gone, and the larger ones are MUCH smaller. So...blood thinners for a bit longer, then we will try again. While not done, things are moving in the right direction!
So glad things are improving.💖 :hugs:

I thought that getting the SSA would be so wonderful and couldn't wait to stop doing surveys all day. Turns out I'm back to doing surveys because I'm bored not doing them. There's only so much housework to do and the cats always run off. So yea back to doing 17 hours a day of surveys. Go figure.

Noodles had a couple accidents but I figured out they were when the kids were actively playing around and she was in a hurry to go. She was on meds for her heart so she often peed bigger pees anyway. Hopefully it was a one time thing!

I was very diligent with the scissors when the kids were little because DD’s hair was past her waist. (Like Rapunzel sure said!😉) I told the kids you have to have a license like Ms.___ (Ds’s and my hairdresser.). DD only took a little bit from underneath once. I think they genuinely thought you couldn’t without one. ;)

There was an incident with fly tape at my grandpas once when she was about 3 though. She’d been sleeping in an upstairs bedroom with DH while DS and I were in the basement. Her hair was big when she got up and my Grandpa couldn’t reach to put the tape high so it was hanging from a counter with no cabinet below it. Perfect 3 year old height. :rolleyes2: It got her just walking by. Fortunately it wasn’t noticeable really once I cut it out. I was SO upset at the time!

Glad to hear he's doing better! But I thought he already was neutered? Was something wrong? If he's not neutered, it were me I wouldn't wait 2 months to neuter him, but that's just me, lol.

Well, since it's just a hobby now, you could cut back to only 12 or 13 hours a day :D.
Charlie just peed outside of the litter box. Neither one has *ever* done that before. I don't understand why he did it.
Usually when that happens, they're trying to tell you something. Keep a close eye on him.

I didn't look hard enough to see if he was neutered. But because he was half dead and there were parasites, the vet wanted to make sure we took care of that issue before neutering him as his condition would have killed him being neutered. This from the top Vet in the state of Missouri We still have to keep an eye on the bloodwork though for 2 months which is why we have to wait 2 more months. Remember he only had a 1% chance of staying alive when I found him April 25th but chose the treatment instead of euthanizing. I don't know why I never thought of looking to see if he was neutered, I just assumed he was fixed as he showed no interest in mating. He still doesn't show an interest. So yea we have to wait 2 more months.

And what would I do with the other 5 hours? I don't watch tv or movies. Don't play games meaning I no longer have an interest the Sims games. I can only do so much housework. I want to be constructive. haha

How old is he? If he is just reaching adulthood and his full size it may be that the box is getting too small for him. Or if it was dirty he may have tried to step around some poop and ended up peeing over the side.

He's five. He wasn't in the box at all-the sound of peeing woke me up, and I turned on my cell phone light and swung it in the direction it was coming from. Charlie was crouched near the box with a fresh pee spot behind him. I know it wasn't Selene because she was asleep on my bed.

Hopefully he just thought the box was too dirty, but in your place I'd make a vet appointment to rule out a UTI.

I *have* been looking into getting a new box-https://www.amazon.com/Vealind-Foldable-Litter-Covered-Enclosure/dp/B08XJQSK58?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1&psc=1

It's supposed to be big. It has a front entry and a top exit, so theoretically the cats shouldn't get litter on the floor. It's supposed to be easy to clean too.
