The pet hotel said she is kinda angry still getting settled in 😂 i guess its more i just feel nobody's gonna take care of her as good as me😂i did marinate a t shirt for over a week to leave with her so she has a stinky shirt of mine to sleep with during her stayand she is eating normally they saud as per feeding instructions we gave but man i was so bored this morning 😂
She may be feeling a little pissy when you come home but she will be fine. Try to forget about her and enjoy being on vacation.

😂😂the view from our hotel room supposed to be on a vacation? But yet still here on the forum browsing by cell phone🤣 i got issues maybe? Along with constantly checking to make sure graycies ok at the boarding place they said she is a bit angry and settled in eating etc
Pretty! Where are you vacationing?

We left the girls in our apartment for 3 weeks when we went to Australia with an automatic kibble dispenser, a water fountain, amd someone or other stopping by every other day. I kept looking at the pet camera when I had good internet!

I had to get up early (at least early for me) as I have to give the ferals their breakfast every morning this week. They are a short drive away and the other cat-carer is on holiday. It was especially early as my grandson was having an operation on his ankle/foot and someone needed to be available to watch him when he came home from the hospital. His parents were at work. As it happened he wasn't discharged till mid-afternoon when my daughter was available. I'm feeling quite tired ......... Tomorrow will be another early start but the ferals will get their breakfast a bit later than today! How did I manage to get up and go to work every day for most of my life? I hope you found something interesting to do. Apart from thoroughly cleaning one of the cat litter boxes in the bath, I have done precisely NOTHING SPECIAL, but it's taken all day! :)

I couldnt leave graycie like that😂i dont know what she would get into aside from her being used to me cleaning her litter after every use i am afraid she would go out of the box thinking its dirty cause it wasn't cleaned right away

I have the door to the screen room open so the girls can go out and get fresh air and relax. They love it. A hapless worm must have crawled under the door and gotten in there. When I went into the kitchen to make lunch I found it on the kitchen floor. Still alive but quite unhappy. I took the poor thing out to the front yard and let it go. Mommy's first present from outside. I was shocked but It didn't have a mark on it. No idea how they managed that.

And what if the police don't get involved because they think it's just a domestic dispute?
They will probably just try to help you leave. That's what my doctor, social worker, and adult protective services are trying to do for me. They don't have any interest in trying to change my mother's abusive ways or committing her. They just want me to leave. My mother punched the side of the washing machine, so close to me that I thought I was hit for a minute. Just because I want clean bedding. She's nuts. She will take that washing machine to her grave. It makes no sense.

Its been harder to leave Mooch since we lost Noodles. I used to have someone come stay at my house and that was nicer. My petsitter had to give it up because her parents needed elder care. This is one reason I have not missed traveling during everything. We’ve been doing multiple long car trips every year since 1994. I need a bigger house so people can come visit me for a change! I’m probably too introverted to be a very good hostess: but still!
Aw, how bad is it? I've had days spending time on the deck where afterwards I feel so tired and blah. Realized I may have spent too much time outside or should remember to put sunscreen on. The deck is covered, but sun still comes through the screen. Most of the time indirect, but I've been trying to remember to wear sunscreen when I go out and see if it helps.

It is hitting the 80's today, wowza!
Its not too bad. Not the lightest but it probably won’t peel. I was more careful today and just used a sprinkler this afternoon. Yesterday I was potting a number of things.

It was 84 here according to my weather station. It was comfortable when I was watering this morning. The new grass seed is finally starting to sprout so I’m hoping my constant watering days are almost behind me. DH really needs to mow the areas that didn’t get destroyed this winter too.

We decided how we are celebrating DS’s birthday this year: GoKarting and Mini Golf! Go Karts have alwaysbeen too loud for me so I won’t drive. My stepdad LOVES them and even has one. So he and my mom will be coming so they can enjoy that together.

Gads. I just fished a FLY out of my iced tea. Saw his legs move, and have gently tipped him onto a piece of paper on the coffee table to dry off. Must go wash glass, replenish the tea. Oddly, I have no problems swatting them, but it doesn't seem fair to hit them while they're down and helpless...

I took Aedan potty and when we came back out, Bubba Bee was gone. I'm hoping he flew back home. They've been living in our rafters for at least 3 years because the people before us complained about them. They don't bother me. They don't come in my house and none of us have been stung. According to a bug identification app I found, they're eastern carpenter bees. They're very important for pollination and non aggressive. They'll only sting if you're aggressively handling them.

I had one last week buzzing around in the basement. It was stalked for several hours, captured and eaten.

Sky raisins!! :lol2:

We get so many flies during the summer that I have no mercy. Noodles was the fly hunter/eater. One time at our old house she had a fly within <3 seconds of it entering the house. It was a single wide trailer so not a big place at all. That fly flew in the door and as soon as it hit the wall across from the door she had it. I don't think the fly had a chance to realize it had entered the house! :lol2:

I think we might have a yellow jacket nest next to the neighbor's big pine tree. :cringe: When I was out watering today there were a bunch of them kind of hovering low to the ground around that corner of my yard. I just went about my business watering but I'll be on the lookout for wherever the nest might be. Back when DD was tiny we had a nest under the fence on the other side of the yard and quite a few people got stung; including the neighbor's little guy who was DD's age. The husband next door an DH took care of it. It was huge. I try to stay in harmony with all the polinators...but yikes! I had an allergic reaction to a sting when I was a kid so I am careful. We've had to paint our wood shed and things to keep the carpenter bees at bay there. They do live in the neighbor's fence and I'm pretty sure they are the ones setting off my security camera buzzing by!

I hate wasps. And hornets. They're just jerks who will sting you for the fun of it.
I have to agree with you.. we have little native wasps, a nest of which I disturbed recently. They're very, very aggressive. Once they attacked my face so badly I looked like Elmo and ended up in Emergency.
On my mind.. Autumn and Winter here are the time to get out in the garden as other 'bitey's' run rampant in Summer, and besides, it's way too humid. So I'm donning my gumboots and heading for the garden and it feels really good :)
