Why couldn't he pull it? Does it have to be a special sort of dentist? The one that pulled mine was the dentist who does root canals. I forget what she is called. She was very good and got my infected tooth out very quickly.
When the tooth is broken they can’t just grab the whole tooth and pull it out because it’s in pieces or it’s broken so close to the gum line that they can’t grab it. It takes the skills of an oral surgeon to go in and take out the broken pieces one by one.

6 years ago I had an infected tooth that was rotten. The oral surgeon refused to pull it until I had oral antibiotic for 10 days. I was in severe pain but all they could do was prescribe Tylenol 3. If they pulled it before the infection was gone it could have spread to my jaw. I was so happy when they could pull it.

This morning has been one heck of a morning already... and I have only been up an hour!!

I know Gracie's obsession with hair ties so I specifically put it around the hairspray cap while I was curling my bangs. Gracie jumps up onto the bathroom sink countertop and grabs a hold of the tie. She somehow lifts a FULL BOTTLE of hairspray and proceeded to drop it onto the floor. It hit in just a way that the little nozzle thingy flies off and the hairspray starts spraying everywhere. AND IT WON'T STOP!!

I put my finger over the nozzle and run for the front door. I put the hairspray can in the yard where it won't make such a mess. Come back in to clean up all the hairspray that was sprayed in the bathroom and look for the little nozzle thingy. I can't find it so hopefully in my desperation to get it to stop, I tossed it into the trash. Can't really dig around because that is where the scooped poop goes.

And to make matters worse, I have no spare can of hairspray so I have to wear my hair down ( which I hate) until I go grocery shopping tomorrow after work.

And how does Gracie react? Jumps up in my lap to sleep like she is a precious angel sent from above.

Sadly I can't do any kind of med and the only antibiotic I can do is Amoxicillin or I'll wind up in ER with sever reflux and in excruciating stomach pain every time I swallow my food. I'm a tough patient since I got messed up 25 to 30 years ago with migraine medication because I have to be so careful about pain meds. Most of my problem with the teeth was the acid reflux. The acid would rise and eat away at the enamel. So I have to do what I can to preserve the rest of my lower teeth. Also I never got my upper dentures so that put undue strain on this tooth which caused it to break and chip over the past 4 years. So yea, I'll be glad when this is gone so we can then start proceedings with the 3 implants in the upper gums and then go with dentures. Again my jaw is so misaligned since birth (although not visible to people) I need 3 implants to clip the dentures on. Holding dentures in my mouth with Poligrip is not going to work in my case. But I'm not doing full upper implants as that will cost me 25K and up.

Testing a new Alexa skill at the moment that I'll get paid for. With this tooth I need all these tests I can get. Mom probably wonders what I'm doing down here as I have to command PacMan how to move by saying Waka, Wiki, Wika and Waki. haha

So I told my Mom and all she said was "That is very stupid" in reference to the PacMan thing. Ugh I never have a normal life here.

Well last night I woke up with severe pain in the tooth. I have never had that with Amoxicillin before and it's sad if I"m allergic because it is the only med or antibiotic I can take without being rushed to ER. Even baby aspirin bothers me. I'll be glad when this thing is done and over with or I may pull a 3 stooges and tie a string around my tooth and the other end on the door. Ugh

I'm trying to rearrange the living room to accommodate my industrial design stuff (which is a ton of things) and I'm realizing that we have outgrown this house so much. I don't even have space to work. I wish I could sell all the junk my dad claims we need but haven't touched in over a decade but he'd kill me.

Miss Katrina is helping mommie be extremely anxious again. A week or two ago she slipped off the edge of the second floor as she likes to walk on the other side of the railing. She latched on with one arm, so it was a softer fall had she not hung by a nail or two for a second.

Tonight she was laying on her back on a shelving unit close to the edge and rolled over and right off the shelf... Again she some how managed to grasp a couple nails to hang for half a second before she fell down.

Enough excitement with the cats, please! 😭:p

Watching her closely, but I think she may be okay.

Other than that, Persia is doing great eating her pill pockets so far. And Isabelle's had a couple days on the deck this week as she doesn't always ask to go out like the kittens, but seemed eager the past couple of days.

Nuts to that. So the dentist has to dig it out, takes longer but so what? Another trip to a specialist will take even longer. All dentists have special tools to dig out broken teeth. Sometimes a tooth will get broken off its root and no decent dentist will send the patient elsewhere to have the rest taken out. Are these hick dentists who could not find another place to practice?

I think a lot of dentists are not doing more than the most basic of basics. My mom's dentist doesn't do root canals anymore, even though he did hers a few years ago. Now he sends everyone to a specialist. I'm told most dentists do that now. Idk if it's liability issues or what.
