Let's hear something positive going on in your life. Something as small as a good cup of coffee, a sunny day or a phone call can be a small positive in your life. Remember to keep it positive. :hearthrob:

After being out of work for 1-3/4 years that a little bit of hope that my husband will get a job soon. :crossfingers:

My DSs long-awaited wish for a Nintendo Switch gaming system came through today. DH may have been most excited though. Its a family gift from their Grandpa/FIL and a couple other people who sent DH and the kids some money for Christmas. (Don’t worry, Santa brought both kids quite a few books this year. All in moderation.)

Not 15 minutes ago my cats all run to the front window- I really thought it might be a racoon or a rat or something that caught Samis attention,of course all the other little nosey busy bodies have to hop on up to see what's out there....Im paying zero attention as I continue to cook for tomorrow ( fireworks are ridiculous,I can't imagine what they were like last night!)and I hear the sound I dread hearing on the other side of my kitchen door- MEOW!!!!

Oh no,seriously? So I go out the front door( 5 feet away), lo and behold a Tabby cat ,she immediately runs in my house- lol Probably terrified by the sounds of bombs exploding. But I've got that nice little hallway with my fantastic 2nd door so I close the door and she's looking at me like'" Thank you kind human"

So happy to see a black collar with a tag when I picked her up and yippee ai aye - a phone number.I called the number and said ' Hi,my name is Kwik......" That's all I got out when she exclaims" Please tell me you have my cat"? ❤"Yes I do",I replied and again she cries out ecstatically ' can I come now".....Of course you can I told her and began to tell her where I live - sweet thing is just visiting her Mom with her cat and the cat slipped out the door when her Dad was coming in- they live in the very next bldg and told her where " Kwik' lives,I have no clue who they are but they know me,I probably know them by sight

I'm so happy for this young lady and the cat 'Sweety' because they just arrived in an unfamiliar place- she probably picked up my cats scents ,they lay all over the walk way on their leashes every morning ,right where she was sitting..... Isn't that a wonderful little story ? Agggh,I should have taken a photo!

Good news with Daisy's checkup this morning, she's lost a little more weight! She's also decided for the moment that wet food is acceptable, so I'm trying her on the RC Satiety (one sachet a day with 25g of her dry food).
I don't think it gets any better than leaving the Vets office having had a good report! It great news👍💯❤

Absolutely! I felt very happy with the news. Also got advice about a different flea treatment - I had used Bravecto for a long time, but Daisy's more sensitive to it than Phoebe or Maddie, to the point where I couldn't put it on her. I'm trying Revolution - the vet said it's much milder. Also ordered some dander wipes (unscented, of course). My next Pet Circle order is going to be enormous! :jawdrop:

I asked the vet if I needed to worry about worm treatment, and she said the chances of them (being indoor only) getting worms that would cause them any trouble were so low it's not really necessary. I'm trying the lower-level Revolution for the moment - got to see if I can use it at all on Daisy, first.

Revolution ( not Plus) still protects against heartworm, hookworm & roundworm(& ear mites).... Plus just adds ticks and tapeworm so for indoor cats it's more than sufficient.... I hope Daisy has no reaction to it ,if so you might like Credilio ( tiny tablet,30 day) instead of topical..... I had Timmy on it for awhile, broke it up in Churu- equally difficult with him as a topical application - Credilio is a little less expensive( you might ask your Vet)

I've just been looking, and no Australian sites seem to sell it. They have the formulation for dogs, but not cats. 🙄 For the moment I have Revolution on order, and it'll arrive next week, so we'll see how we go.
Fortunately the chances of me bringing a tick inside are minimal. I'm not out in long grass or brushing against shrubs and trees. The girls never even got ticks in Queensland. (Not that we're free of them here - damn paralysis ticks are even down in Tasmania now.)

That's odd to have it for dogs but not cats- As I understand it the formula for dogs is exactly the same as for cats- difference is dogs require a larger dose than cats so I believe it's the volume per dose according to weight so there'd be too much for a cat at the same weight as a dog so the doses for dogs is higher per volume in a tube...The reason I mention it is because one time I asked my Vet when they were out of "Cat" packages- I said " They're both selamectin, can I use the 15 lb on my cat".....The answer was "yes - if you could do the math to divide the quantity because the dog tube is 60mg but the cat tube is 45mg"

I said "not I,I'll wait for delivery " lol..... figured I'd share info in case anyone considered using the Dog Formula

The bakery once again knocked it out of the park for J's birthday cake. (Well, we added the MerCat figurine)

The reusable wall decals were fun, too. They'll be moved to J's wall in her room.

That bakery you use is incredible- every birthday the cakes are fantastic! The colors they use you pick out though, right?
