I get snowed in every winter and even when the weather is good it's a long trek down to the supermarkets. If I see something the cats like on offer then I buy as much as I can carry. It's not like there's any chance I won't need cat food.

You guys have got to get yourselves a shed. Then you'd be able to bulk buy.

My shed comes with it's own demon.
Maybe a Gargoyle shaped like a cat, guarding his or her food stash ;)
Baby Girl knows the sound of the drawer we keep thawed food in, and when we open that drawer and start dumping food into bowls, she doesn't walk, she marches. Back and forth, and anytime a cat comes near us, she lashes out with her paw and tells them to back off.
Who needs a highly trained Doberman when you've got 6 pounds of tortie?

We periodically hit Petsmart for cans of pate and some dry food. Typically, we buy around 100 cans and about 20 lbs. of dry. Lexi has some early stage kidney problems, so we buy the prescription Royal Canin Renal cans for her.
