I still look in and read up every now and again, but I haven't posted in such a long time.  Most of my posts were photos of the tribe's antics, and we've all settled into the non-photogenic rigors of old age.

Those of the tribe that are left still have their moments, but I'm not nearly as quick with the camera as I used to be.  Peanut Butterum, Sassy Sassparilla, MIschief Mistofolees and Turvy Demeter have all crossed the bridge to wait for us beyond.  Hobo Skimbleshanks, Blondie Rumpleteaser and Trace Tumblebrutus are all doing well, but all just like me, older, slower and heavier.
@Skippymjp I have wondered about you, how you are, etc. Good to know you are still around.

It's wonderful to see you folks!  I can't get the little @ symbol to work  for me!  Has anyone heard from WellingtonCats and Trout's Mom?

If you type "@" and then start typing a name a list of users doesn't show up?

TroutsMom posts a lot on FB. She has an adorable little boy. :)

I made a phone call to my niece and she agreed to take my furbabies so I could move to a nursing facility. In late December 2014 she took them to her home (about 160 miles from me) and I am now a resident at a full care facility/rehab. I cannot walk on my own and spend my days on the computer, doing word puzzles, and I have now started coloring again. One of the nurses brought me a couple of books and her extra pens and markers.

Topaz settled in quickly. All she wanted is a food bowl, big litter pan, and a comfy bed. This past January she died in her sleep. I know she was over 10 years old.

Aristotle took a while. (I miss him so much!
) He has to share the house with 4 other cats and 2 dogs. But he has acclimated and has plenty of windows for bird watching.

Hugs all around!
I'm sorry to hear about your health and that you had to give up your fur babies. That's never an easy thing to do, even when you know it's medically necessary to do. There has been a few times over the last 4 years were I've seriously considered it.  It hasn't come to a point where I absolutely have to...yet.

I'm sorry to hear about Topaz.  She was a beautiful girl.  Glad Ari is doing ok and has live kitty TV to watch.

I'm happy that they have pet therapy where you are.  Everyone benefits from having a furry friend to cuddle with, even if it's only a couple times per month.   Does the facility have a resident cat or 2? Many where I live have resident cats.

Happy to see you!  I've missed seeing pictures of your tribe and hearing about their antics.  Sad to hear about your kitties who went to the Rainbow Bridge :(

And Oliver won a KitNipBox from my apartment complex for a pet photo contest they had a few months ago. This is him with his prize (including a most adorable bowtie!):

Thank you for your concern. That's very sweet. :)

I'm really glad to see familiar "faces" here

Thanks for understanding! If you have any questions or comments about this rule or any other, feel free to reach out to me in a private PM!

And may many other longtimers show up here to say hello in person!

Thank you for kindly addressing that @Anne  I didn't know that rule existed.

Also, back to the original topic, I also noticed @mrblanche  posted. a fellow Arkansan if I remember correctly. When I first came here I was in Phoenix. Ended up having to travel back to Arkansas and my mother fell ill. While tending to her my sister found out she hand cancer, her two children moved on after she sadly passed, and that left my mother here with nobody but me. So i told her I'd take care of her and get her back to Phoenix.

That's what i've done. I finally got the house approved and move in date is Oct 1. So that's why the other thread about moving kitties. I'm still MORTIFIED it even entered my pea brain to put my children in the back of the truck (might as well be kids, I fuss over them like they are). Thank God someone quickly sparked me back into reality. I really dislike the thought of tranqualizing my casts, but i think the lower the stress the better. Especially for Wilbur.

I want to see how he does. I don't know the medication I'll get. but before moving on i want to give them all a 1/4 dose just to see how they react.

I'll repeat again, this forum was absolutely life saving for my kittens when i first got them 8 years ago, then my foster kittens later. That education and help taught me enough to know how to handle Pickle when i adopted her in from the mean streets of big dogs and possums.

I wish I could express just how thankful I am, and I'd like to thank people individually but in doing so I'd miss someone so I better not.

All i can say is I have very fond memories of this place

I didn't know about that rule either.
-was just trying to answer a question w/o giving too much info, since so many were asking.
Sorry.
