We all know of the Rainbow Bridge,surely we are Comforted by thoughts of that special place just this side of Heaven where our Beloved Pets run and play until we meet again and then we cross a bridge together....but who named that Bridge?

Thank you so much for this, I often wondered. I remember when my precious Chrissy died, I saw this the same day. I got goosebumps and cried. I still do everytime I read it. The 'breath of life' from God gives you a soul, so I take it that every breathing creature has a soul. And that God knows every sparrow that falls. Even the Pope said so, that everything that made you happy will be with you in heaven!

I'd never heard of that. I associate it with Bifrost, the Rainbow Bridge that leads to Asgard in Norse myth. Not that I think of our pets going there, only that that's the ancient usage I know.
