I guess because my kids are in park district classes and I'ma resident, I was able to get a free pass to most of the facilities (except the fancy one with the indoor pool). Basically, I can use the track above the gym or the few stationary bikes they have while J is in her dance class without having to pay, so I walked the track for 31 minutes while she was in class tonight. I may try a bike next week to see if I prefer that.

My tap class starts again tomorrow night after winter break and I'm looking forward to it.

Oh, that`s good! Nice to have free facilities you can use. What kind of dance does your daughter do?

I only did an hour of yoga yesterday as I was rushing around trying to get all of my errands done

It's combined ballet/tap 1. She gets to do a recital at the end of May, which should be adorable.

Lari Lari I was taking adult ballet a while back and they canceled it for lack of interest. So sad.

Tuesday was a rest day
Wednesday was a HIIT video
Today was 22 min on walking pad with hand weights

I saw a sign our town will start offering free Zumba classes on Wednesdays beginning next week, so I'll try that out.

How`s everyone else doing this week?

No walks. Not freezing cold out, but too cold for me. :cold:

I'm, once again, thinking of trying yoga. Is there a time of day that's best to do it? 🧘‍♀️

Friday we were gone all day and when I went to bed at 11, I realized I missed a workout.
Saturday was 27 min on walking pad with weights.
Sunday was a 20 min HIIT workout.
Today I did 40 min on walking pad.

Some people say you have to do it early in the morning, but I`m not really a morning person myself. I think whenever you have time to do it is best.

90 minutes yoga and a 90 minute walk yesterday, one hour of yoga today

I did about 25 minutes on the recumbent bike last night. Tap class tonight.

Yesterday I made myself walk 30 minutes because I was too tired for anything else.
Tonight I took an hour long Zumba class.

It can be if you don't pick up choreography easily. It's a Latin and hip hop dance fusion.
I used to go to a lot of Hip Hop clubs, so I could probably manage that part.

I went for a longer walk on Friday to a place called Omurayama. First part of the walk was through the newer part of the forest that`s growing over a lava flow.

There are some big volcanic caves that you can explore if you bring helmets and lights and stuff. I didn`t go in any though. I don`t do caves. This one goes back about 50 meters under the forest floor.

After that the trail comes out into a much older beech and elm forest. The whole area used to look like this before the last eruption.

2 hours walk and 30 minutes yoga on Friday. 90 minutes yoga on Saturday.

How`s everyone been doing this week? The weather here has been warm for January and there`s only a tiny bit of snow, so I`ve been able to walk every day. I spent about an hour stacking wood yesterday, so that was a good upper body work out. I`ve been doing about an hour of yoga a day too.

Too cold to walk outside, so I've been cleaning and decluttering inside the house. Exciting, right.

I will say, no where I can walk around here is half as interesting as where you walk Norachan Norachan . Those volcanic caves must be amazing to see in person.

Did a bit of walking and recumbent bike while J was in dance class Tuesday, then both stroller strides and tap yesterday.

Yes, I am really lucky to live in such a beautiful area. I never stop appreciating that.

90 minutes horse riding and an hour of yoga today. I rode Sakie. She`s 16 years old, but still likes to run around with her nose in the air and race horses half her age.

90 minutes walk and 45 minutes yoga on Saturday. 2 hour walk and 30 minutes yoga today. With horse riding and two walks this weekend my legs are starting to feel like they`ve done something. May have a rest day with just some easy yoga tomorrow.
