Finally got weather in low to mid eighties, so it has been cool in the mornings. So we have been able to do 4-6 mile walks every morning for five days. So nice.
That`s good! No sign of it cooling down here yet, but I guess this heat can`t go on for too much longer.

Two 45 minute yoga practices and an hour walk yesterday.

2 hours walk so far this morning.

I hurt my leg while I was out on my walk yesterday. I stepped on a branch and it flipped up and whacked me in the shin. It`s not too bad. I cleaned the graze up and put plenty of antiseptic on it, but I`ve got a nice bruise. I decided that must be a sign to take a break today. I did a long yoga practice and some archery instead.

What`s everyone else been doing this weekend?

I mowed the grass yesterday, which I guess I can count as exercise. As for walking, once the humidity breaks, I'll try to get started again. But, of course, before long I'll be complaining that it's too cold to walk. I always seem to have an excuse..

I`m hoping for a 6 week window of crisp, cool weather where I can do some proper long hikes. maybe even climb a mountain! I haven`t done any climbs this year. Then after that my exercise is going to be shoveling snow and chopping firewood again.
Just a couple of walks.
Every little bit counts though!

I got up early yesterday intending to go out for a walk. Then I had a hairball situation to deal with, which meant doing laundry. Then I thought if I was going to do a load of cat laundry I may as well change all of their bedding. Then I had a panic when I thought I`d lost Frank, but he was hiding in the closet.

I guess he`s been planning a nap in the box of clean cat bedding for a long time.

By then it was 9 am so too late to go out for a morning walk. Instead I did 90 minutes of yoga, then in the afternoon started sorting out some timber for my next woodwork project. I moved everything I need for the project then stacked the left overs on the firewood rack. That took about 2 hours.

Fingers crossed for some dry, cooler weather so I can get started on the project soon.

:crossfingers:

Well, no woodwork project this week. It`s been too wet to start working on that.

2 hour walk and 45 minutes yoga on Wednesday.
90 minutes yoga on Thursday.
30 minute walk and 30 minutes yoga yesterday. (Plus a lot of house work!)
1 hour of yoga today.

Had a lovely 40-minute walk with the mutt yesterday eve. It was warm, but not oppressively so. Dog LOVES her hikes, LOL! The day before, we went on a walk and saw two people on the sidewalk with their cats on leashes. I've lived at this location for a year and have never seen anyone with their cats on a leash and here I see two people with their critters! Very cool!

I`m getting cabin fever after no proper walk for 3 days, but there is another typhoon heading our way. Maybe I should anorak up and go out before it gets too wet and windy.

Walked for an hour yesterday, got soaked, had a hot shower and then did an hour of yoga.

Today I spent about 2 hours working on my project and then did an hour of yoga. Project is going pretty well. I had a slight miscalculation, which meant I had to take part of it apart and then put it back together again, but I`m happy with how much I got done today.

I'm trying to re-start my exercise program after several years of not doing anything. (I should have my butt kicked for that.)
I've been walking in the house for a good six weeks or so, between 2 and 4 miles. And last week, I started my exercise routine.
Once the weather cools down, I'd like to start walking outside. The problem is that, for months now, just coming up the stairs from the basement really tired me out, so I've been worried about elevations outside. It seems that my fatigue has gotten better and I can come up the basement steps without a lot of fatigue.
4 miles of walking today.
30 minutes of exercise with my 5 pound bells and various core and leg exercises.

It will get better.

We`re being battered by Typhoon Shanshan at the moment. I think they just give storms cute names so people don`t panic. It has been raining torrentially since Tuesday night and the typhoon hasn`t even passed over us yet. No sign of the rain letting up, it`s supposed to be wet for at least another 3 days.

I`ve been doing longer more challenging yoga routines every day this week to make up for the lack of exercise. I had to cancel my plans to go horse rising on Friday, but I`ve rescheduled for next week. I also had a 90 minute walk when it was just drizzling yesterday, but it`s too stormy to risk going out today.

I`m bored!

Does anyone have weird habits when it comes to exercise, like... well, me for example. I pace when I'm at a bus stop. I arrive early and I'll pace until the bus comes, sometimes as long as 20 minutes! I guess that's one way of getting my daily steps in? LOL!
