It's so hot!

I had to go into town to run some errands yesterday, so my only real exercise was about 30 minutes walk. I had to walk up one long, straight road with the sun full in my face and no shade at all. It only takes about 20 minutes, but I seriously thought I was going to die by the end of it.

Came home and did 30 minutes very gentle yoga under the fan and that was enough.

Today has just been about 30 minutes gardening and 30 minutes yoga. Some rain would be nice.

:crossfingers:

How's everyone else doing?

Going to stroller strides today and Friday.
Sounds good. Is that indoor or outdoor?

One hour walk early this morning. It was cloudy and thundering, but no rain. Felt quite comfortable to walk in though. One hour yoga this afternoon. This month's woodwork project is almost finished, just needs to be sanded down and stained.

Outdoors in nice weather, indoors when it's raining or the temperature is below 45.

I bet it would be nice to do it indoors under the lovely AC these days.

:)

I got my woodwork project finished and I`ve been doing lots of frantic house cleaning this weekend (In-laws coming to visit soon) I`ve also done about an hour of yoga every day and had an hour walk this afternoon.

Still so hot and thundery here.

The kids get more squirrely in their strollers if we're just doing laps around a gym rather than walking through a park, so there's a trade off.

You need to get them involved in the game! Maybe a strollers relay race where the kids get to pass the baton? I`m picturing The Strollers Olympics now.

Had a hectic week last week, so on my day off on Friday I decided to cancel all my plans and just spend the day having fun. I did 90 minutes yoga in the morning them went on a long walk. I got a wee bit lost. I was following a trail that I thought would come out at the other side of the golf course, but it started to go off in the opposite direction and I realized if I followed it I would come out much further up hill than I wanted to be.

I had to "Off-road" through the woods in what felt like the right direction. I eventually met up with another trail. That one was really nice! Wide, grassy and sloping gently downhill. That trail ended below the golf course, so I just had to make my way back to "my" woods and get home from there.

3 hours walk in total, I`m glad I took a liter of water with me.

Just an hours walk and an hour of yoga yesterday. I stuck to the paths I knew.

I have arthritis starting in both knees (The joys of growing old. Weeee!) so I have to be careful how far and how often I walk. I generally walk 30 minutes with Winter (dog) around the block and that's not including the 3 flights of stairs to my suite. Four if I check the mail in the basement.

Today I managed a scenic walk around the block and checked mail. Feels good, but my knees are unhappy with me. With that said, My knees are doing better since moving to this third floor apartment!

I have the same problem. I destroyed my knees by cross country running and horse riding when I was a teenager and in my twenties. I`ve found that some walking is better than no walking at all. I think if the leg muscles are strong it protects the joints a bit. Do you take any supplements? I take glucosamine and fish oil. I`ve been a vegetarian all my life, but now I`ve reached the point that I need a little fish oil to keep active.

2 hour walk and 45 minutes yoga today. I explored a new trail but I didn`t get lost!

:bliss:

ETA a few pics of this week`s walks.

Such a pretty place! I'd be walking more if I could get out to a landscape like that! Just realized I forgot to reply to your question! I don't take supplements. Yet. I have a spray a friend makes that kills some of the pain I'm in. Otherwise I'm medication free/supplement free.

Thank you! It is really pretty, I`m lucky to live here. The scenery is part of the reason i walk so much, even though my old knee bones complain.

Got up early and walked for an hour yesterday. It was already 30C by the time I got home at 9 am. Then shortly after that we had a really loud thunder storm and heavy rain for the rest of the day. Did an hour of yoga in the afternoon.

90 minutes walk in the morning and 45 minutes yoga yesterday afternoon.

Just an hour of yoga today. Every time I got a spare minute and thought about going out to do some archery practice it started raining again.

It's so hot and humid here. It's like trying to swim in soup.

It's been hot as Hades for 2 weeks and I've only gotten out twice with the dog! Gonna have to try today if it doesn't rain all day. The weather's been weird. Either too hot or too wet. Sigh. I really miss my walks outside...

Stroller Strides yesterday, tomorrow, and Monday due to the playgroups they're having. We're also going to walk to the park this afternoon because I promised J we would.

It`s been like that here too. I`m supposed to be in one of the cooler parts of Japan, but is usually around 30C by 9 am and then thundering and pouring with rain by mid afternoon. I live close to where the hiking trails for Mount Fuji start and there have been so many accidents this year. I think it`s 9 deaths already, with lots more people with broken bones, exposure and altitude sickness.

Just an hour of yoga on Friday. One hour walk and 90 minutes yoga on Saturday, 90 minute walk and 45 minutes of yoga today.

Just an hour of yoga and 30 minutes archery practice yesterday. Yes, I actually managed to get some practice in before the afternoon storm started!

:hyper:

2 hour walk this morning, going to do some yoga now.

I`ve been looking at some maps of this area trying to work out where there are more trails I haven`t walked yet. The maps mark the paved roads and the hiking trails, but the trails I walk are the access roads the forestry commission make so they aren`t marked on maps. The cedar plantations are laid out in a grid and the trails all seem to run parallel to each other, so I think if I walk uphill for about a mile or so above the last trail I found there should be another one. It`s about three miles from the latest trail I discovered to a paved road that loops around behind the ski slopes and then joins back up with the road that takes you to the Fifth Station on Mount Fuji, so I figure there should be at least one more trail running through there.

:dunno:

There`s a typhoon heading our way though, so I`m going to have to wait for that to pass before I go exploring.

I never did walk the dog yesterday, but I did the stairs to bring up my medications—three flights of stairs. My Knee wasn't happy at first, but seems to be okay now :) . Going to bring down garbage tomorrow, including a chunk of my old wall unit. That will be more than enough exercise, LOL!
