I just saw this heartwarming story.  Tera and her babies could not be in a better place right now or a better person.  She and her babies are beautiful.

The babies seem healthy and strong. I forgot to write scale on my shopping list. As much as I would love to leave them in the big cage tonight I think the crate with the insulated cover is a better choice. I remind myself of the nightly struggle to crate Mercy in the house. It's wonderful to watch Tera just getting to be a mom. No food or predator worries. I still feel awful about the other four. I hate using the internet as my sole source of medical information but it would see being attached like that for two days causes massive trauma. I started feeding Tera two weeks before the babies came. Considering her physical condition I guess we are lucky that we have two really healthy and thriving babies at the moment. And I am so glad I put on my big girl panties and climbed into that mess where we kept poultry that hasn't been used in years. And I'm grateful for the shelter workers who put up with a very upset human being having to make a really hard decision. It's so obvious Tera was loved. But not loved enough to be protected from litter after litter or I guess even a bowl of food on a regular basis. No one gets a kitten. They get a pre-cat. I try to picture tossing Mook or Mercy out and my mind can't wrap around it.

More pictures tomorrow. Thank you for the support. It means the world.

I can't wrap my mind around people just walking away either. I think that is part of what broke my heart about Tera's story.

But the story of Tera and her babies is being re-written right now. And that story has a bright and wonderful outcome because of your wonderful heart.

She done the groundhog sniffing my hand , then I got a head bonk and she started grooming my hand. Her and Tera exchange death ray eye beams but the babies seem to be something else.

I can see Tera using the litter box right now. She has her babies in the nest box now with a new soft fleece blanket. She seems so happy with everything.
The one I am sure is a little girl is Dina and the one in question I have negotiated and it will accept Swan as it's name. So much better than Swami. I had no idea what to do with that.
I wonder if Mook would react to Tera's scent better than the eye to eye contact? I am glad that the scent of the kittens didn't cause a hissy fit!

I smile at the picture in my mind of Tera and the babies all snug and well fed [emoji]128571[/emoji][emoji]10084[/emoji]️

Hope all is well with this little family.  Looking forward to hearing more.

Are you able to get any sleep or are you still up feeding the babies through the night.  It would be fantastic if Mook came around, fingers crossed.

Can't wait for more pictures.

I'm not feeding the babies. I'm feeding Tera. and obsessing over their safety. I put them in the big crate last night , It's not just safety it's about warmth.

So I gave Tera 2 cans of FF at 11 PM Went to bed then got up every half hour to check and somewhere around 1AM decided to stay in bed and set the alarm , I use an air raid siren, for 6AM. I just fed her and she gobbled up another can and I'm going to cat nap for an hour while the air warms up, tidy her big cage and put them in there for the day.

Hope to take pictures every day and document their growth and the changes in Tera

We have a Tera and two babies. A Mook hogging my electric blanket and a flying Mercy punting her skunky around.

I wasn't sure if you were still feeding the wee ones.

How is the plotting going?  Will you be able to keep the family?  That would be great.

Look forward to more pics.

This is truly a joyous story and I hope more people start reading.

I might have got the same kitten twice in this set of photos. They look alike. I'll have to do them on separate uploads. They are round and warm and clean and active. And I love the pictures of Tera being a mom. Oh and some tai porn for @Mamanyt1953

Tera lets me hold them. I only handle them after washing my hands and for a minimum of time. Right now they belong next to mom. They have stopped crying when I pick them up.

Wow, Mama Tera looks like shes adjusting to her new digs.  What a difference in expression since the first pic you posted.

The pic of Tera stretching out with her baby under her head and the other by her back legs is too precious to describe.

I'm in awe right now.  Your dedication and love is amazing

Thanks for the pics.

This is a great story, I hope @Anne  does an article  on it.  It's beyond inspirational and should be shared.

We all need to put our heads together and plot out a plan for you to keep them. LOL - I don't see them leaving your protection.

I'm so glad people will see this thread.

@HelloMissKitty  - I'm right there with you, this was my morning read over my first cup of coffee and along with the weather this was the perfect start to the day.

Kitten's Mom's House of Torties

I have no clue what color those babies are. Right now they are soft and sweet and innocent. It appears being born in old chicken filth has had no ill effect on any of them.
