I recieved my cat from a friend who was moving away. The
cat was abandoned at a Girl Scout Camp. So neither one of us truly ever has known how old the feline is and I was wondering if there is a way that I can tell just how old my cat truly is??? Please let me know, if you know how to tell. Thank You!

Miss Kitty,

Your vet will be able to tell you the approximate age of your cat by looking at her teeth. If she already has her second set of incisors (fangs) then chances are she is either a teenager (10-12 months) or older. Does she have a name?

Really the only way to tell is before they are a year old. You can tell by their teeth. If it is younger then you can tell by which teeth are coming in. When they are older a vet can help by the amount of plaque build up.
