jdwns12 jdwns12 I see your cats have the rare and much sought after tail crossing overlap.
@mightyboosh, yes, that is the only time they did that tail-crossing thing. Usually Gracie likes to attack Tyler's swishing tail and then he gets mad and growls at her, but then they chase each other back and forth to play. I wouldn't say they were buddy-buddy, but they do like each other!

Rocket likes to hide behind her tail. Normally her tail is just there; but when she is sleeping it makes an excellent nose warmer.

Link and his tail. That is a whole other story. As a kitten, it was his favorite toy. As an adult, it is his most expressive body part. Just like him, it is very long and thin so I can touch the tip of it when he is standing next to me within having to bend any. He thumps it when annoyed. Holds it straight when he wants something. Waves it happily when he is please. He still will chase it when really bored. I absolutely love that when he is at rest the tip ends up curling into a little circle.

Thank you for posting all of these groovy tails! View attachment 196084

Milly has a little kink at the tip of her tail... do any of you have any kitties with a kinked tail?
No, but my mom's beloved angel Samuda (the first Samuda in our family) was a pedigreed Siamese with crossed eyes and a kinked tail.

Stunning cat. Just how big is he
Right at 30lbs now. (about 15lbs in that picture).
And jealous as can be that he doesn't have an awesome long fluffy tail like shown above! :sniffle:

HOWEVER!! In case anybody wants to know. His works like a puppy with docked tail.
When he's happy, it sticks straight up and wags about a hundred miles an hour.

I empathize. I've always had tail envy myself. I'm told humans have tails in the womb, or something. My European ancestry is Irish, and I'm also told the English thought the Irish had tails at one time. Go figure. Anyway, my pin-on costume tail just doesn't do it for me. :(
