Hello, I would appreciate anyone's help in this issue.
Our cat's nose has been disappearing slowly, like it's being eaten away.. we went to the veterinarian and she had no idea what is causing it. The cat is eating and living like this for over a year now and we don't know what to do. She is 14-15 years old. Anyone has any guess what may cause this? Is the cat in pain? Maybe we should put her to sleep? Please advise, see attached photo. Thank you.

Welcome to TCS! :wave3: I agree with both the above members that your cat definitely needs medical attention. I would suggest contacting a Certified Dermatology Specialist at a Veterinary Specialty Center for the appropriate diagnosis and treatment.
Here is an Article about skin conditions in cats that may have some helpful information for you:

Please keep us posted on your cat's progress. Fingers crossed for your kitty. :crossfingers:

I am going to suggest that this might be squamous cell carcinoma and that your cat definitely needs to see someone else who can provide some relief at least.
