Gorgeous green eyes that get deeper green closer to the iris with flecks of navy blue there also. She is part Siberian but I don't know what else.:dunno:

The newest member to our family, Pimenta, comes from a small feral colony living around a nearby school (only six cats, max). She doesn't resemble the other cats at all, and was the only nonadult. Even so she seems a good example of brazilian street cats, with her lanky and leggy build, notable agility for such a young kitten, and lack of fear of humans (wary, but not afraid).

It's so interesting how Pantera and Pimenta differ: both generic brazilian kitties, but Pimenta is built like a basketball player vs Pantera's rugby build. Pimenta is a classic pouncer at playtime, while Pantera is a chaser with a much more aggressive playing style. Pantera's behavior is best described as predatory: she doesn't think about much outside of hunting and patrolling her turf- she's only aggressive with prey and intruders on her turf but is otherwise quite laid back. Pimenta spends most of her time- when not playing- practicing her "puss in boots" look to charm us humans into giving her food (Pantera rejects nearly all human food).

Wow, how time flies. It's been over a year and a half since this photo was taken, and Pimenta has changed so much. Since we rescued her from the feral colony, we found out that she has at least one sister. We still see her sister at the school from time to time. In the beginning she was a spitting image of Pimenta (that's how we could tell they were related) and clearly the same age. Since then their developments have taken different paths and no longer look the same, although still similar enough (they both possess a near identical coat pattern and color) to tell that they're related. Despite being raised apart the two have identical personality and behavior.

As well, Pimenta's eye color- the focus of the thread- changed. As a kitten it was a unique hazel brown. As she matured it changed and her eyes are now an amber color. Losing the brown left her eyes a shade that is a greenish yellow.
