Suggestions For Treating A Uti In A Very Senior Gentleman Cat....?

Well, we had a good couple weeks with Obi, and his pancreatitis seems to have abated.He was eating well, behavior normal, cheerful, etc However, the past week and a half or so he has been urinating outside the box. First it was once; then it increased so today he went to the vet. So far, he has white cells in his urine. It will be cultured. He is on an anitbiotic, fluids, and some bupe. What have others found to be helpful for this issue? I know older cats just like older people often get UTI's....comments and suggestions appreciated.

Antibiotics and canned food helped Demi when he got a UTI.

Yes, he is on an antibiotic and I only feed canned. He also has IBD and has had pancreatitis, so he is on a novel protein canned food and loves it.
