Strange Goings-on......an Alert For A Non-post....?

Now, this has me fascinated!

About an hour ago, I received an "alert" in the drop-down "ALERTS" box.

This is a verbatim copy:

What's peaked my interest is that...........I posted nothing in that thread !

I remember reading it yesterday - I deliberately chose to not reply.

Earlier this morning I noted that the OP had started a new thread on the topic with a slightly different approach.........again, I chose to not reply to that one (thread).

Just now before posting this message/thread, I looked at the thread where I am alleged to have posted.....and I see that the OP's last post there was edited by a Mod about 2 hours before my 'alert' showed up.

Huh! Interesting.

Would/could someone please explain ?

My guess is that you and another member had flagged the same post/thread, each "flag" generating a "reported post" thread in our "top secret" Moderators' area, and whichever mod took care of the issue merged both "reported post" threads before resolving the issue.
