I know this is an old thread, but thought I would add this important info I just found (link below) as I came across this thread researching S&C brand after getting free samples at the vet recently of the freeze-dried Chicken dinner for cats... Many of you may already know about this, but I thought I should share for others who may find this site:

The first line on the linked site gives an update regarding the ingredient Menadione Sodium Bisulfate which is now in the S&C freeze-dried line and is a synthetic form of Vit K which can possibly cause health problems and is used because it is cheaper than natural sources of vitamin K such as alfalfa and kelp. Just an FYI...hope this helps! (I plan on not buying it now, instead going for the raw version, pending further review...)
