The painter is here doing a magnificent job of repairing the water damage to our bedroom ceiling, spackling, painting. Multi-day job. Some furniture is out of the bedroom, bed and a bureau in the bedroom covered with plastic, floor covered with drop cloths. Door closed at all times. We're sleeping in the guest room with trundle pulled out from under the bed and configured into a king. Disruptive, you could accurately say.
Mr Poe and Domino might as well be saying, "Meh." They join us in the guest room at night, eating well, not hiding. Of course there was the incident the first night when I had opened a window for better air circulation, not noticing that there was no screen. And Domino exited window for the small roof . . . But was coaxed back in with minimal difficulty.
With any luck the painter will finish this week and bedroom will be reassembled. Excuse me now, while I go to iron the curtains. As long as they had to come down I thought I might as well wash them.
