Spayed Caterwauling

I have a senior domestic long hair that will usually go to a specific room and caterwaul. When I lived with my sister it was the bathtub or dining room. At my new place she does it in the bathtub still. When you go to see what's wrong she stops and looks like you like its nothing, or she'll keep going. It annoyed my sister and niece like crazy because she would do it while they were sleeping. Should I be concerned or is it possible she is doing her version of singing? She's been doing this for few years.
