Spay wound open??

Hello! I just got my kitten today and she got her spay surgery yesterday. She's very playful but I was trying to limit her movement as best as I can. Has her wound open up? I don't remember what it first looked like when I got her this morning...

Hi paislen ...I think the spay wound looks fine.

When they spay...they put in either 2 or 3 layers of stitches....I can't remember which.
One is for the abdominal wall, one for the sub-q or fat layer, and then usually the outer or skin layer.
Sometimes they will use glue to close the skin layer.

On your kitten I can't even see any outside stitches, so maybe they used glue.

If you are worried...can you just email a photo to your Vet, and ask them about it.
Also, just make sure the incision does not become red, feel hot, or oozes any liquid/pus.

Could we see a photo of your kitten from the other side?

Mawu.....Goddess of the moon....that is beautiful!
I think she'll grow up to fit that description. You'll probably see her running around at all times around dusk and dawn, but also at night, and daytime, too. Kittens have so much energy. I don't know where they get it from.
