spay 4 year old cat

hello, i rescued this cat pregnant cat for about 5 months ago and she gave birth to her 5th or 6th litter i am not very sure of that.
i want to spay her as soon as possible, but many people tell me that after so many litters, it can be dangerous ?! a local vet had an actual add of how spaying after many litters can damage the cat’s health. i don’t find anything of this sort online. and if it is ok, how much can i wait? she gave birth 6 weeks ago

I have never heard of that being dangerous. Rather some cancer risks get increased as they get older when they are not spayed.

If she is in heat while undergoing the spay - then the surgery can be more challenging as the tissues are more fragile. But otherwise I have not heard of a reason an adult cat cannot be spayed. I would highly recommend that you do have her spayed to prevent anymore litters. Maybe find a different vet?
