Hello
I am new to the group and I need your advice
I have a Maine coon cat that is 56 days pregnant with six kittens
And at today I noticed a sack coming out of her
I went to my vet and the kitten that is coming out is alive and she told me to wait
I noticed it noon and I went to the vet at 8 o clock
Now it is almost 10 hours that this sack is going in and out of my cat without any signs of labor
What do you think? I am posting a pick of the sack

That’s a long time for that to be happening. At the very least, call the vet back.

Much depends on if its really a kitten coming in and out.

Our forumists write sometimes about mysterious sacks coming in and out. Its of course alarming, but as far as I remember, afterwards they write the self delivery which come days later, was without problems.

Here, if you / the vet clearly notice an alive kitten in the sack, it becomes more problematic.

Its probably a sort of spontan late abortion. Because, its way too early for a lucky delivery. Kittens born as early, dont have a fair chance, even if occasionally they may survive.

This is probably why the vet isnt eager to do anything hasty... She cant make a cesarean or equivalent - it would almost surely kill off the other kittens.
So she hopes, either it calms itself, and delivery proceeds some days later.
Or this poor kitten gets born, and dies off by itself. But just this kitten, while the others are born at least one week later. Healthy.

I dont know what else to do, aside of praying and making it comfortable and stress free for the queen.

And keep contact with the vet. If you arent sure the vet is an experienced obstetrician, try perhaps to get a second opinion from another vet?
