My 11 year old female indoor cat had one eye removed by vet because of infection. Now, 2 months later, eye healed just fine but other problems happening. Her third eyelid covers half of her eye, her mouth is open all the time, she tilts her head back sometimes and stares like in a trance, and drinks a lot of water. She poops, pees, eats, walks normally. She wont clean her face very good and I think that's because her mouth is dry. No drainage from nose or eye. Took her to vet and he couldnt find anything wrong. Any ideas what could be wrong?

Welcome to TCS! :wave3: I'm sorry your female cat is having some health problems with her eye. Did you bring her to a veterinary ophthalmology specialist? If so I would definitely contact them and if not you may want to consider taking her to this type of specialist. It almost sounds like she may have a neurological problem going on by your description of tilting her head back and staring as if in a trance. However, since we are not vets and cannot give out medical advice you may want to get a second opinion since your vet did not find anything wrong. Did your vet do any bloodwork?

Best of luck, please keep us updated on her progress. In the meantime, we'll keep our fingers crossed for your girl. :crossfingers:
