My Mom has a feral community at her senior complex. A local rescue helps them with TNR. There is one cat, Boots, who has an infected eye. She is about 1 1/2 yrs and was spayed last year so she knows how the trap works. She takes the food from the trap with out touching the panel that would close it. No one has been fast enough the spring the trap when she's inside. Boots is not skittish but very aware of her surroundings.

I'm looking for ideas on how to catch her. Thanks

There are drop traps that might work. You also could start feeding her in a large carrier.

In the trap you are currently using, are you using the most sensitive setting? Do you have the bottom covered so she can't see the trip plate? I like to use puppy pee pads from the Dollar Tree to line the bottom.

Thanks for the response. They are 120 miles from me so I'll pass it to them.
