Good idea moving the bed ontop of the heated blanket. With so many Kittens you'll need to check the bedding frequently though, mom will use the litterbox but the kids will just go right there and it can get gross.

Kittens so young cannot go pee/poop on their own so must be stimulated. Since her crew is such a good size, if you hear one mewing a lot, you can, occasionally, try "changing it's diaper" to help mama kitty with her chores. My vet advises against overhandling neonates but that is more likely to be done by children - it seems that you are dialed in to what the kitties need. CONGRATULATIONS to you all :clapcat::loveeyes::cheerleader::party3::banana1:

So new problem, momma misses our constant attention and stands at the door to be pet. How long can we keep her away from kittens to pet her? We cant pet her with kittens attached since fall of and they are a pain to hook back up. We have a heating pad in the cat bed.

She felt the heating pad and immediately removed the kittens freaking out. I think she is afriad of warm stuff, like she is a stray and the warm stuff she might be associated with gets really hot like rocks tops of cars.

Here are the weights, they are all about 100 to 107 grams, there is an antirunt at 117 that likes to push away their siblings from nipple and does not eat much. 3 of them are mostly identical, one has a white belly and another is darker.

They are on the small side, but good you’ve weighed them. Continue to weigh at the same time daily. Did you buy the powdered or pre-mixed formula? Do help place them on nipples if need be.
We got both powder and liquid in a can of same brand. We have been using powder today. We tried to bottle feed them but they did not know how drink yet and the mom was getting scared.

The powdered is much easier to work with because you can mix just the amount you need, with the premixed liquid you might end up having to throw some of it away if you don't use it all.

The pre-mixed tends to cause diarrhea. Put it away for an emergency. Powdered is superior in every way.

Why were you feeding the kittens? Are they not nursing mom? Only feed if they are not gaining weight or losing weight or not nursing. They should be settling in and sleeping when they are not nursing.

Watch this video for instructions if you do need to supplement:

Okay thank you. The largest and the smallest ones were not eating very much. The largest one just kept trying to find a nipple and pushing the others off and when he did find one he would not nurse on it.

We noticed something cute. When the momma goes to the litterbox we hear her meowing for our attention. She wants us to move the kittens closer to where she is laying down. After we help her out she gets quite again. Poor thing wants help with all of her kittens.
She is staying away from her bed so we are going to make walls of towels around her and check every two hours and reset the heating pad. We have the bed available of she wants it back.

I’m not quite sure what’s going on, but you may be distracting her. Try leaving her be for a couple of hours to let her figure things out and settle in. Most cats stay near the nest and return quickly and often to nurse when their kittens cry. Did you say she’d had a litter before?

The vet said she probably had a litter before. I think the mom is small and tired with a lot of kittens. Also is it normal for the mother to be panting and breathing fast while nursing? She pants occasionally but the bathroom is warm. I can see her breathing really quickly as well.
