It's that time again and for the first month of 2018 we have a subject that gives us plenty of photogenic opportunities
The winner will receive two cans of Bravo’s new Feline Cafe meals. Each recipe is grain and gluten free. These complete and balanced, natural dinners feature delicious cuts of meat or poultry as the first ingredient!
Prizes can be shipped within the US only but please don't let that stop you from joining in the fun! If you win, I'm sure we can think of a US-based shelter you can donate the prize to (or even to another TCS member!).
Submissions will be accepted through to January 24th
The Rules:
Announcement - Photo Editing For Contests - What's Allowed, And What's Not
- Choose the best picture you have for our monthly theme and post it to this thread. Please mention the cat's name!
- Image needs to be clear and not too small. 480 pixels high by 640 pixels wide minimum. Larger is better.
- One submission per member please
- No special effects, additions, borders, graphics or text on the pictures.
Photos will not necessarily be monitored during the contest. If your photo fails to comply with the above rules we may have to exclude it from the voting stage.
Our cats are ALL amazingly beautiful! This friendly photo contest is about the way in which the cat is captured in the picture. We're not looking for professional photography, but do try to keep things like image quality, lighting and composition in mind.

I was interrupted when writing my previous post and couldn't finish it. I was saying that to find out when a new photo contest is on I consult the "Fur Pictures and Videos Only" forum around the date I'm expecting it. I have often wondered how many members are unaware of the existance of these photo contests.
Isn't there a way to alert all the members that a new contests is on?

, they start around the middle of the month (15th, but it depends on where you live) and are featured on the Home Page. @Anne also lets people know in the newsletter.
Thank you Mani. Yes I know it starts around the 15th of the month, that is when I start consulting the "Fur Pictures and Videos Only" forum. As for the newsletter I thought I had subscribed but I have never received it. How do I get to the Home Page?

I've been following the forums lately by hitting the little speech bubble at the top that brings up most recent posts. So I see the contests that way and the red bar makes them extra noticeable.
Whenever you log in, you are in the Home page. If you are in any of the forum pages, you can click on the word ‘Home’ at the top red bar left of the page.
