Hello,
I have a 3 year old Persian cat. I’ve found at least 2 skin tags on her in separate occasions. I found one around her tail today and it seems like she chewed some of it off. We will be taking her to the vet but just wanted to ask if anyone has found anything similar on their cat before? Could this be concerning? Thank you for your time!

With cats, it’s always best to get any lumps, bumps, or growths off as soon as possible. There is no way of knowing what it is without a biopsy.
It’s good you are taking your cat to the vet soon.

Looks like a fat cyst to me. My avatar cat had several of them in her life and they all looked like the one in the photo.
Anyway, having it checked by a vet isn't a bad idea.

My Feeby had warts - at least 3 of them - declared so by the vet (no biopsy). Fortunately, they never bothered her and really didn't even impede us brushing her. That said, as noted above, have the vet take a look.

I don't know if your cat just happened across the 'skin tag' when grooming and was trying to remove it because it is a bump, or if it could be bothersome to her in some other manner - enough reason to have it checked out, just to be on the safe side.
