Litter robot 3 users pls feedback.
Apart from the clumping clay litter, anyone try using silicon litter am using America Litter which mentions as fast clumping in seconds and non toxic but still dusty.
It's much lighter than clay litter as such will it still work for the Litter Robot sensor?

Some silica gel beads work, if they’re the right size and clump firmly — a lot will form lose clumps and not be super effective in an LR as the cleaning might break up clumps.
Here’s the official stance of the company on litter Litter-Robot Support Community

Bought a litter box instead as kitties small size.
Stephanplast Furba which is sifting the Litter through trays instead of scooping.
The silica beads are fine like clay litter.
But what I notice is that pee which clumps actually break into smaller pieces when clearing.
Also unlike clay litter, the poop does not get covered by the crystal.
Smell wise pnmy the poop can be smell for a while after which it disappear. Not sure it's part of the silica absorbing quality.
But no sticking of litter on the fur.
