My babies are a Siamese mix. Their foster mom says she thinks there is some Persian influence, but I’m not sure. Either way, here they are:

I was wondering if they look to be from Modern Siamese descent or traditional Siamese descent? I’m thinking traditional, but I’ve got no idea about purebred cats. I can attach more photos if needed. Thanks :)

A profile picture would be helpful. I would say they have the pointed gene leaning more towards traditional appearance but not a specific breed in recent influence. While all pointed cats have a Siamese ancestor at some point, not all are close enough to really say they are Siamese.

I have two pointed cats. To a non cat person they both may Ben considered Siamese or snowshoe Siamese. When it comes down to specifics though my boy is identical to a purebred Snowshoe without papers though he is a bicolor seal point. Doesn’t make him any less pretty and not being a specific named breed doesn’t make yours any less wonderful either.

One of yours is a flame point and the other a seal point. More exacting may have to wait until full grown to say how close their adult features are to a specific pointed breed. I will say I don’t see a Persian influence in either of them, that would lend towards the pointed Himalayan breed which I am not seeing either.

Thanks! I figured he was a seal as well, but he’s got dark brownish/maroon paw pads and a brown nose. I read somewhere that chocolate points have some pink on their noses and paw pads, while seals are always dark with little to no pink. Colorpoint patterns confuse me slightly.
Here are some more photos.

Definitely more traditional. Modern Siamese would have a far more pronounced wedge-shape to their head, as well as a long, svelte body. For colors, I agree one is a flame point, but the other looks blue point in the picture of him coming out of the box- are the colors just washed out there?

It might just be washed out. He comes out different in each photo, depending on lighting.
I’ll post some more of him, in case that helps?

I’ll try to get some better ones when I get home at the end of the week. I’m away right now and he’s home with my mother. Thank you for the help so far!

The kittens are just about five months old. The last time they were weighed, which was a couple weeks ago, Percy was about 9 pounds and Jasper was around 8.
Their foster mom said they would max out at 7-9 pounds as adults. It looks like that’s not going to be the case. :eek3:
I read that kittens will reach an adult weight that’s about double their 4-5 month old weight. If that’s correct, I’m going to have some really big kitties on my hands!
The internet tells me adult male traditional Siamese cats should be around 10-15 pounds, but since these guys are definitely a mix, I’m wondering what other breed they might be mixed with? Maybe their size is a clue. I know it’s difficult to tell from phenotype alone, and I’m hoping I can save up for a Basepaws CatKit at some point to figure it out.
I can post some more recent photos, since they’ve changed as they’ve gotten older.
