Zuko was found under my in-laws cabin & was the only survivor of his litter. He was only 4 weeks old, 1/2 lb, and had multiple infections that had already cost him one eye, ringworm, anemia, fleas, basically anything a cat could have.
The day I got him:

Our vet gave us meds, but told us if he didnā€™t see improvement in a week, weā€™d have to just put him down because he was on the verge of death. Luckily our boy was a fighter!
First night at home: (that is a dessert plate btw)

Luckily heā€™s a fighter! He started improving right away!

At this point he looked the worst, but was the healthiest heā€™d been! Was still slightly anemic and fighting ringworm, but was completely out of the woods!!

Finally seeing new growth over the ringworm spots and last week of quarantine! This day made me so happy! He was finally looking like a healthy kitten!

and now, at 10 months old, heā€™s happy, healthy (over 12 lbs and still growing šŸ˜°), playful, and a big cuddle bug!!

Zuko is GORGEOUS! So glad he found you in his time of great need. He certainly has blossomed and looks like he's thriving.
Our beloved angel Sishya was somewhat similar when she turned up as one of many community cats in our yard two locations ago. She looked very sickly to me, so I went out and captured her and brought her into our bathroom, where she stayed until she was vetted. Turns out she wasn't in any trouble health-wise, and she grew into her points and became quite a flirtatious, playful, quietly personality-plus little beauty. She left us several years back, and she is greatly missed by me.

You got Zuko in the nick of time. Great love has great rewards and I'm sure Zuko can't thank you enough and we too am glad you did the right thing. He's such a wonderful boy! :heartshape: :heartshape: :heartshape:

POST YOUR RESCUE KITTIES PHOTOS HERE! :camera: :camera: :camera:

Here's January. He was double dumped and was first found all alone with a gaping wound next to his anus when he was rescued off the streets and was dumped again the day he was rescued because of his injury. Estimated 3 weeks old (2015).

On the way to the vet the very next day (protesting)

This was the Facebook post that everyone was saying amputation on this stray cat that the woman posting had been feeding two years. She had no money and didnā€™t want to do anything. I reached out to her and tried to get her to contain him. He was 30+ miles away, but she couldnā€™t. Just wanted me to come out and wait around for him. I got frustrated.
Then the next day I reached out to a local woman who cared for feral cats. This angel went and found him and the brought him to my work. She never complained. It was probably 80 miles of driving for her.
He only needed 2 weeks of antibiotics and his foot was fine. Another 2 weeks at the hospital trying to find a home with no luck. I took him home and he is happy and healthy ā€œOmypawā€ for Oh, my paw!!!!

Of course Cheetah might not be to thrilled but I figure if they sleep together itā€™s not all that bad between them.

for saving him!

If it were not for you, he'll have no hope and would not have survived.
